True, I mainly bet football and baseball so this is my off season for my bigger plays. This is my first year posting on covers football... Does everyone just engage for a big garbage talking match every year before the super bowl? If thats the case maybe I should tell you all I'm the head of the mob and I used to break legs for a living, follow that up with some bad  English, a line of coke and a couple $3 slores... I also bet a min of 2 million a game. Been doing that for 30 years but I still make time to post on covers lol... This place cracks me up sometimes man.. This thread is friggin hilarious....

Stephen King heckled me once when I was a sophomore in high school in Bangor, Maine. I was pitching a friggin preseason game and the guy bought the friggin field so he felt like he was gonna sit up in the bleachers and yell out smack because I couldnt throw a strike to save my life...his son played for Bangor the doofus behind clown....

True story ask Stephen guys he'll tell ya.....

the business of professional sports and unfortunately amateur sports would not be as big as it is without gambling. The NFL is the most hypocritical of all the leagues in that regard. I think honestly, there is a very small minority of actual professionals who can claim to make a real living off this. Because no matter what information you have and how good you are at capping, THE BALL DONT LIE! It has a funny way of bouncing and the cast of characters who play the game are animals.

I never understood people who bet on horses or worse, greyhounds. But then I have to look in the mirror at a man who bets that 15 oversized grown men who just traveled late from Milwaukee to Chicago will cover 5 points on the road the next day. I'm not sure if a player was smoking weed or screwing groupies all night. Will he be fit enough to play the next day. This is gambling. Just like in poker, you know the odds and you place your money on the odds that are in your favor. With sound management, even the average Joe can turn a profit.

I have gambled my entire life. I remember playing flips in school cafeterias. Then from that I placed C-LO dice. My love of sports turned me to this. From 2001-2005, I was a loser. Sure, I won my fair share of games, but at the end of each year I would lose money. Making "ALL IN" bets. Just chasing action. Playing other peoples picks. You name it. Every mistake. That was like college to me.

From 2006-2010. I turn nothing but profits. Until 2011 (Miami), I picked every NBA Champion in the preseason. The odds weren't great, but I knew who would win, every June I collect. In the NFL playoffs, I am legend. Picked the Chargers +9.5 points and moneyline to go into Indy and win outright. Last year, I had Seattle moneyline against the visiting s'AINTS. This year I had Gmen going into Green Bay and winning outright. All those wins were impressive, I played what I could afford. The money I won helped me pay off mortgage debt and car notes. Helped fund amazing vacations and helped upgrade from a hamburger to a filet mignon.

This year was bad. Miami losing in Finals hurt. NFL, I was pathetic. College, forget it.

You must judge things long-term. Learn to survive by managing your bankroll. Never stop learning. If you lose, study the game. Watch the tape. Learn from your mistakes. This should be a fun hobby with a potential for even greater things.
