And besides, NO Saints are very very comfortable playing there in the past decade. Hell, even ROMO passed on that secondary

SF is number one in every defensive category imaginable.  Harbaugh knows he doesn't have a fucking hall of fame QB and gets shit done with what he has. Defense wins championships. SF will be competing for a superbowl this year.

San Fran has faced 5 teams this season who rank in the top 10 in total offense....ALL FIVE of them gained over 400 yds...3 of them gained over 500 yards...

They will face one in both games they play in the playoffs...

The defensive stats are very skewed with this team...

Nothing like the Ravens teams in the past that shut-teams down...

Will be interesting to see what happens when they cant score 17 in the playoffs against the Saints and Packers

I agree with your first 2 points but when did the worst defense in the League Packers become the 85 Bears in your mind? 49ers will score 17 against either of those teams.

What makes you think they could toss the Saints around physically?  What gets lost  is that those passing yards are available because the Saints big o-line and physical run game.  Not to mention big, physical receivers.

Also, the 49ers only faced one top 5 offense, and that offense had 531 yards on them.

Saints would smash the 49ers with a similar score.

GB is tied for 14th in points allowed.  Thats the only defensive stat that matters.

San Francisco is 12-3

Of the three losses:

- one was by 2 points

- one was in OT

-One was by 10 pts on 3 days rest travelling across country.

 

People that that think this team is going to get blown out by anyone in the playoffs doesn't know shit about football.

you mean the unstoppable packers who scored a whopping 14 points and lost to the chiefs? And the saints who lost to 4-11 bucs and the 2-13 rams.

you can say what you want, but the niners have the better defense and we all know how the saints struggle on the road. Last season the saints got smashed by the seahawks and imo the 49ers are a more disciplined and sound football team.

Laugh at Alex Smith, but the way McCown moved the ball especially on that 95 yard drive, that would not sit well with me in a close playoff game.


I am not claiming SF to win it all, but the Saints/Packers won't be blowing them out like every blind homer here thinks.

Oh and the niners lead the league in turnover margin, but I'm sure you already knew that.

payton's idea of a run game is throwing screen passes to sproles. You mean the saints who abandon the run to throw 65 yd bombs...keep watching espn

Saints are 9th in the league in rushing at 126.6 yards per game.  Have 4 players on the roster with 400+ yards rushing each.

 

Just had 164 yards rushing against a top 5 rush D in the league.

Who really watches the games and not ESPN here?  Dumbass.

Exactly

Actually they are 12th

Yeah, they give up TONS of yards.  But, thats because teams need to score 30+ to beat them and are down 14 in the 1st half playing catch-up.

GB is 4th in the NFC in points allowed.

They have to make maybe 4-5 stops a game, if that.

Plus, they lead the league in defensive tds.

I will take GB offense against SF defense and SF offense against GB defense all day

Gb averages 35 a game...SF broke 30 twice

 

Homes games for GB through 7 games this year....

276- 130

That comes out to 39-18 a game
