I was with Bodog for years. I got really, really pissed at them due to the bullshit that goes on with their Poker program, so I left them completely vowing never to return. That being said, I will say that there is possibly an intelligent way to use their sports book. I won't, but for me it's a matter of principle (rigged poker). They inflate the lines and odds as you mentioned. Therein lies a possible advantage. You would need two sports books. Bodog to bet when you like the dog, and almost any other of the books recommended by Covers which I see have more "honest" lines. When you like the favorite, you bet with the other. If you noticed that they are giving themselves a consistent and unfair edge punishing favorite bettors with higher lines and/or worse odds (-115, etc.), then why not use their own unfair edge against them by only using them when you like the dog? But, there's another thing I noticed when I was with them... I can't tell you how fishy and how often it happened that when I submitted my wager, the bet would be refused and I would be notified that the "lines had changed"... At no other book since have I ever seen that happen with the alarming frequency it happened there.... That leads me to believe they are crooks as well at the sports book and that might even negate the proposed idea I mentioned above. On second thought.....fuck 'em. Hard to deal with dishonesty.

I've done exactly what TomE describes. I have a BoDog account + local online account. I primarily play with the local as his lines tend to be more in line with the rest of the books. I only play BoDog when it is to my advantage. And besides the odds adjustments, my biggest gripe about BoDog is precisely what 'lookingtowin' said. It takes FOREVER to get lines and sometimes won't even get totals until game day or a few hours before ko, frustrating.

I have heard nothing but good things about 5Dimes. I actually may open an account with them just for a possible hook here and there. I am in Vegas so I don't have much of an issue getting action, but the extra option can come in handy here and there.
Good Luck on all of your plays!

Does anyone use sportsbook? Their is a couple disadvantages in baseball adjusted run line parlays and stuff like that but their site is very well made and clean. I like it more than others for that reason. Any input on that would be nice too?
