I get a laugh every time I read a self-righteous ignoramus talk like he's intelligent, or actually thinks he has something new to offer, or actually thinks he understands what he's talking about, or who talks so arrogantly that he honestly and delusionally believes his viewpoint represents the majority, when in fact, it represents only the narrow-minded minority.
Yes, I know what I am talking about especially on this topic considering I went to catholic school grades k - 12. I also graduated from St. Joseph's University where I took three upper level Theology courses, two of which focused on the origins and evolution of Christianity. I have a lot to offer on the subject but this is not a place to debate philosophical views of an omnipotent creator and his incarnated son. I was just giving my opinion on what I think about Tebow and his ridiculous "oh bless me thank thou I am blessed" comments. To me, it's annoying and at the same time funny because he sounds like an idiot. I think it's funny that you would so arrogantly assume that I don't understand what I am talking about. Thanks for the laugh.
No, I do not believe my viewpoint represents the majority because I, unlike the majority, do not blindly follow and believe in something before I study and learn more about the subject. I am far from narrow minded. I was born and raised christian, but when I opened my mind and studied the facts it became clear that Jesus was just a very good man who taught others to love each other.
You sir, sound like a narrow minded sheep.

#28 Posted: 11/23/2011 12:27:35 AM I agree! Every time the camera is on him it's like ok quick get on one knee. Everything he says he talks about it. When he won the game against the Jets only thing he talked about was how they're opening a school in Nigeria or whatever. Like no one asked or nothing.
Don't get me wrong...I am a follower of God and by no means disrespect him in any way. But Tebow does over do it and I see the point Odds and everyone else is making. Besides, He is so great and doing so much missionary work, but how bout you help America.
Plenty of unprivileged kids and problems in America. No those people go to other countries to seem like they are doing so many things. Makes it sound more dramatic. But want about the problems in America such as proverty, the education system and all the cuts, drugs, pregnancy in teens, and plenty of kids growing up without a household. Just saying how you gonna fix others, when you haven't even fixed home yet.

#30 Posted: 11/23/2011 1:16:45 AM Yeah..I am kind of sick with all these football players pointing up to the sky like they are communication with God and constantly thanking the lord for blessing them with the talents. I guess us average joe losers don't thank the lord enough to be blessed. Life sucks if you're not blessed I guess. Maybe if we keep giving thanks to the lord like all these pros, we'll get to be a professional football players in heaven or the next life.

#31 Posted: 11/23/2011 1:39:24 AM What is sad is finally someone with character comes along, and insecure, angry, immature people have a problem with it. It is sad, but you will never get through to these people. They think they answer to nobody. One day we will all find out, and some will be very sad. I wish it on nobody.

#35 Posted: 11/23/2011 9:31:32 AM I agree odds. I am a catholic, and am proud of that. I go to church on a very regular basis, and participate in church events.
BUT - I do get tired of people (Tebow) always mentioning God as the first part of every sentence. I believe God is a major factor in our lives, but I also believe he wants us to take credit for a lot of our actions. It does wear on and get old.

Did he actually get an education at the university of Florida?Because he talks like Jethro Bodine...
I find it annoying when any athlete thanks God for the performance or victory. No one blames God when they suck. when he throws a pick he wont say "why did god will that?" or "I didn't throw a pick it was God's fault he did it"
Reggie White was big on religion too "The minister of defense"
the whole God thing within sports shows how organized religion brain washes people. Of everything in the entire universe too think God or a God cares about a sporting event deals with ego issues.
Spirituality is fine but plays no role on the field of play and should get no credit. Life takes effort and work, thank yourself and those who helped with the effort, and if dad had pulled out of mom none of it would be possible so thank your father Tebow. |

I agree with this 100%
after watching the interview after Thursday night game, I don't know if he couldn't hear or just don't know how to answer simple questions. Religion should be kept out of sports or to yourself because it's not taught in schools.

This has to be top 5 dumbest things I ve seen posted on this site.
What does that have to do with anything?
People who dont like Tebow for his praising of God everytime he speaks are people who are insecure in their own beliefs and life in general. Its funny because you sure dont hear anyone condemning Rapistberger at all for being a Rapist but Tebow being a follower of Jesus gets a rise out of every person who lacks faith. Personally, I like it. He uses the platform God gave him to spread the word of God and he shoul;d be commended not condemned.
Odds. appreciate your insight in CBB |

good post with one exception. one player did blame god for a missed touchdown. of course, he's been my favorite player since.
i did some research and learned that it was in fact god's fault for this mised touchdown. turns out god was helping some terminally sick child get better. just kidding, of course he doing that. god was probably reigning over some high school football game, scouting out the next tebow, ensuring his success on the field.

They take CHRISTmas and replace with holiday because they afraid it offends others? CRAZY! I applaud Tim for doing what he does especially in this day and age. And RIQ, think about how many people would hear him if he was on MISSION???? But with him being an athletes how many kids will listen to him......especially if he become a STAR Athlete? Frankly, I would rather and luv to here that than Allah this or Mahammad that...... yet all they did were kill others in the name of Allah! PEACE!

odds, u are my bro but i have to disagree with you here... doesnt bother me at all that he is like that and keeps talking about god and he thanks everyone and so on.. It doesnt bother me because it is very refreshing to see a 100% class act guy like that.. People want to see him and hear from him, so its the people that are interviewing him and the audience that put him in the spotlight.. |

#47 Posted: 11/23/2011 4:34:21 PM If Jesus did so many good things , always spoke with the good and not the bad, help so many people and died for our sins and they still crucified him on a cross without doing anything wrong, what do you think tebow is going to get a pass. This world does not want to hear the good but if a coach curses at fan, it's ok he is just human. We need more good in this world ,no matter what is you belief, good will always overcome the bad and make this world a better place and all of us better people. A person will always talk what is abundance in their heart. If there is joy, peace, love, compassion and good then good will come out it, if you have anger, hate, envy, and bad intentions then bad will come out. Peace and love my brothers, peace and love!

#49 Posted: 12/4/2011 8:42:18 PM You do know we have a guy by the name of "addicted4gamble" that says God blesses him to win money gambling in his thread every day, right? Yet you're harping on a professional athlete that isn't great but gets the job done. I think he [Tebow] has a lot to be thankful for. |

FSM.
Google Jesus Christ. Do some research before you spout off about a magical being that never existed. |
