#1 Posted: 10/19/2011 4:23:15 PM Pittsburgh Steelers @ Arizona Cardinals
A lot of advantages for the Cardinals this week. Does anyone remember when the Patriots lost to the Browns last year 34-14? Eric Mangini and the Browns coaching staff knew the Patriot system very well since most of them came from that organization. They knew exactly how to slow down Brady and what formations to use against him. Half if not more of the Cardinals coaching staff has come from the Steelers organization. This is a huge advantage that people don't cap enough IMO. The cardinals have a pretty weak secondary but that didn't prevent Big Ben to go just 12-23 for 185 yards against a banged up Jacksonville secondary, this team is still not clicking the way they should be. Super Bowl Losers are now 36-68-3 ATS on the road, and against a non-division foe in this role and they dip to 12-34 ATS. The last time the Steelers were road favorites was in Indianapolis this year when they eked out a last second win as 10 point favorites. The Steelers are just 22nd vs. the ground game this year so it won't be as hard for the Cardinals to pile up yardage as people think. After this meaningless game for the Steelers, they have the Patriots and Ravens. Possible look-ahead spot? I like the Cardinals to come away with the upset.
I Will be playing 1k on the Cardinals ML when the line comes out on Bodog. Will post ticket then.

#9 Posted: 10/19/2011 6:28:36 PM I watched the Pitts/Jags game in it's entirety and I'll tell you this:
That was a very deceiving "close call" for the Steelers. Their receivers were running circles around the Jacksonville secondary, but Ben was consistently just missing Wallace, Brown, and Sanders deep down field. He wasn't at his best, but circling winds up to 25 mph had a lot to do with it. If he connects with just 2 of those 8 misses 20+ yards downfield, it's a 31-13 blowout or even worse.
Meanwhile, the Steeler defense is clearly not as intimidating as it used to be, and a better team than Jacksonville can and should move the ball easily on them.
Bottom line is, this will not be a defensive slugfest in any way, shape, or form. Bet the Over 42 or whatever it is at your book and cash some real money without stress. |

Getty, dont you find the Steelers next 2 home games, Patriots & Ravens (Sunday night & rematch of the blowout in week 1) are gonna be very tough & will possibly have the Steelers looking ahead vs the Cards? |

You're probably right. But I have said several times over the young season that from a bettor's perspective, the Cardinals are the most overvalued team on the market. Fantasy football junkies love them, but as a team, they're very weak.
Remember that my play is on the over , and not on a side. I hope the Cardinals win, but i can almost assure you, there will be no rest for either defense. |

You make great points & I too thought even before the season started that the purchase of Kolb was ridiculous, only time will tell but if I do play the Cards, it is more of a play against the Steelers, than with the Cards.
Good luck on your over play.............. |

#20 Posted: 10/19/2011 11:43:42 PM Key here is Kolb, all depends which Kolb shows up. The guy will backpeddle like 8 steps and start to move out of the pocket even when his o line gives him the proper protection. Definitely don't like what I've seen from him the past two games. Can only hope that the bye week will help them

#24 Posted: 10/23/2011 3:44:40 PM Was gonna go just with Arizona +185 but Dallas's defense against AJ feely and Green Bay against a rookie QB. Had to throw them in there for an additional $800 profit
