#1 Posted: 10/16/2011 10:26:37 PM I haven't bet a game the last two weeks or followed the league much but I had a little time tonight to look at next week's card.
Dallas just had a really tough loss to the Pats. It was a pretty physical/defensive game and they forced 4 Patriot turnovers, held them to their lowest point total in forever, and still managed to darn it up. This Cowboys squad is a classic .500 team. They play well when the pressure is off and stink it up bad when the pressure is on evidenced by their pathetic 1-9-1 ATS record as a fav going back to last year. Good teams come back home after a loss and take care of business against weaklings, not .500 teams who are plagued by inconsistency. I don't see Dallas coming back off this tough loss to blow anybody out, especially with a game @ Philadelphia on SNF the next week.
St. Louis may look like total garbage but they played well today. They had more first downs, more total yards, more time of possession, and even shutout the high octane Packers in the 2nd half on their own field. They just fucked up in the redzone and that big play to Nelson where two defenders ran into each other was a tough break. They will say there are no moral victories but that definitely was a big boost for a team that had looked just awful in the first 4 weeks. Their stagnant offense managed over 420 yards and ran it and passed it well. The buy sign has been posted.
Taking St. Louis +10.5 now, I doubt this line goes anywhere but down. Have all week to reconsider and get a middle if I change my mind.

#3 Posted: 10/16/2011 10:33:13 PM Just saw Dallas lost an offensive lineman for the year and Felix Jones will be out a few weeks with a high ankle sprain, so much for getting healthy for the Cowboys.
After throwing the kitchen sink and putting so much into stopping the Pats the Boys defense will probably give up more points to the Rams than they did the Patriots, that's how the NFL works.

But it wasn't a dismal showing, there were tons of positives. Most people looking at the score will say it was a dismal showing but I don't believe it was, that's why I say the buy sign is up.

I watched the Rams/Pack game from start to finish & I agree with you, they are not that bad & since they were playing the super bowl champs, I guess we can excuse the loss. Thing that bothered me was they were inside the Pack 30 alot but the play calling was terrible on offense.
1st & 10 at the Pack 10 3rd quarter & they throw on 1st down........ & interception, I could strangled the offensive coordinator, I dont blame the Qb.
Dallas isnt Gbay & after the physical game at New England that you've mentioned, the Rams should cover. |

#11 Posted: 10/17/2011 8:06:58 PM This is the only game that jumped out at me. Going off our preseason assessment of the Rams, they are a must play here. Lets hope that Bradford's ankle heals quickly.

cowboys are still wiping away their tears with Charmin Ultra cause their too soft for anything else after blowing yet another game it's ok that hopeless team covered my +7 this past Sunday- if Bradford is healthy there's a ton of value on the Rams |

#17 Posted: 10/17/2011 10:31:50 PM I jumped on Rams +12 BIG. After watching the Cowboys/Patriots game I don't see how Cowboys will blow out the Rams. Hopefully addition of Brandon Lloyd will help and Bradford is healthy.

#23 Posted: 10/17/2011 11:02:48 PM Rams might not win a game for a long time.
All the Covers experts picked them to win the division easy.
Bradford not playing, Cowboys will punish them.

#24 Posted: 10/17/2011 11:06:55 PM Man I would stay so far away from the Rams...I can't believe anyone is actually considering this play....Bradford or no Bradford....they only played relatively close to the Packers (if you consider losing by 21 vs. 49 relatively close) because they were coming off a bye week.....just my opinion, but stay away from this wallet draining play. |

#25 Posted: 10/18/2011 7:49:12 AM Well it sure would have been nice to know Bradford has a high ankle sprain and is in a walking boot when I fired in the +10.5.
It's not so much that AJ Feeley may start but the fact the news sent the line to +13.
