LOL what a foolish statement. No way in hell the Lions are better than the Packers. You know, the team who won the superbowl last season.....

#158 Posted: 11/24/2011 4:02:07 PM detroit and the city got kind of cocky when they won5 in a row. i guess they finally came back to earth.
oh yeah, if u gonna be consistent, keep your rb committment, if morris is supposed to be the lead back, let him continue to lead instead of playing someone that is less than 2 weeks back in your system. now smith is injured for a while. lol
schwatz is a joke. i know matt millen is laughing and choking on his turkey bone.
i took gb however so i dont care. just pissed off i have morris on my fantasy team bench |

Perhaps their fans will now show a bit of humility and realize that a 5-0 start does not win you the lombardi trophy |

Why would Matt Millen laugh at anyone? He was the worst GM/President in the history of professional football.
This is a really ignorant statement.
Schwartz is already light years ahead of Millen's highest point in managing a football team.
Congrats on being an idiot. |

What are you talking about? What Lions fans said anything about winning a Super Bowl this year? True Lions fans will be extremely happy with a playoff berth, which is still a realistic possibility.
Even when the Lions were 5-0 almost all Lions fans were saying a Wild Card and 10-6 would be a great season. If they won the division even better. But just making the playoffs for the Lions IS the Super Bowl.

Youre kidding me right?? You stalk me and say I am a homer and only see one side of the discussion???
You must not have been on this site the first 5 weeks of the season.
It was flooded with Lions fans talking NFC championship, home field, getting a ring.
It was pathetic.
All cause a 5-0 start in which they should have been 3-2 getting 2 collapses from bad teams.
Lions fan guaranteed a Turkey Day win and ending Rodgers career.
Lions are bad.
They show a 7-4 record but its a joke. They wont make the playoffs. They will get crushed at New Orleans next week.
All this hype and bla bla.
A team full of thugs and dirty players. A coach who cant handle a "rough" handshake
A chance to come out and make a statement in front of the world and they lay an egg. lucky to even score in the game. If the Packers didnt have a 24 point lead they dont give up 2 tds.
Stafford is garbage. What does he have like 13 picks his last 4 games????
Lions didnt stop GB in the first half. Flags and dropped passes stopped them.
Enjoy watching the playoffs on tv!!!
What Lions fans were talking superbowl??? Wow, if you cant admit the garbage talking the Lions were doing the first 5 weeks you dont belong here.
You stalk me around calling me a homer and a douche. Thats fine. My team deserves all the garbage i talk.
17 in a row and counting. |

#167 Posted: 11/24/2011 6:18:55 PM What's wrong with being excited over a 5-0 start when they were 0-16 and lost something like 28 straight games just 3 seasons ago?
Forgive Lions fans for being excited about that.
I never came across any real impartial Lions fans talking Super Bowl though. Maybe the 2 guys today saying that the Lions were going to spank the Packers and end Rodgers season. Maybe that's what you're referring to but even then I didn't see them utter the words "Super Bowl". If I'm wrong then I apologize for it.
Most Lions fans, even on Covers, said making the playoffs was a huge accomplishment.
Hell even I bet the Packers today.
And you are a homer, which you admit, and a douche. You go into any thread pertaining to the Packers and post the same garbage in every thread with no impartiality what so ever.
It's always teams collapsing to the Lions instead of the Lions making adjustments and coming out with a purpose in the second half.
The Packers trail the Panthers by 6 and it's their halftime adjustments and getting the ball first that makes all the difference.
I love how the Lions do the same thing but against a 17 points deficit against Carolina and it's a Carolina collapse.
The Lions are still 7-4 and all of their losses are to teams in the playoff picture. The only truly bad loss was at Chicago and a shitty second half today which was predictable after they couldn't score in four trips into G.B. territory in the first half today.
I could give a darn less if the Lions are dirty and still win games. The antics came back to hurt them today but I would rather them play with this mentality than the one 3 seasons ago when they went 0-16.
It's impossible for us to reach an agreement on this because the Packers haven't been as bad as the Lions have in recent years.
I will gladly take the handshake bull garbage and Suh's antics with a competative team then the team that constantly rolled over and was humiliated 3 years ago.
Stafford is only in his 3rd season year and really only his second season considering injuries last year. He has room for improvement. Who knows where Rodgers would have been had he actually had to friggin play in his third season.

It's kind of hard to avoid you when you're in every thread on the NFL forum posting the exact same posts. Try and at least come up with some originality if you're going to do that. |

Explain the adjustments made in the Carolina, Minn and Dallas games???
"Ok guys, here is what we are going to do. With the Cowboys winning by 21, we will force the Cowboys to keep throwing the ball. We will then make Romo throw it right 2 us on back to back throws so we can get pick 6. Even though a smart coach and smart team will runb the ball, we will make adjustments and make Romo throw us picks."
Great adjustments by Detroit.
Come on, you call me impartial. Those 3 comebacks were fricken collapses. |

Got it
No more football discussions with you. Heard all I need to hear. Cant wait til you come in more of my threads to call me a homer and douche even though you have never met me in person.

Who knows is right....is that his fault? No. What i do know is that as a starter, his stats run circles around Stafford. In his first season as a starter Stafford threw 13 TDs, 20 Ints, for 2267 yards and a 61.0 passer rating (10 games). Rodgers, coming out of Favres shadow with big shoes to fill threw for 28TDs, 13INTs, and 4038 yds with a 93.8. (16 games)
You cant really argue that Rodgers is not one of, if not the best QBs in the league right now. 31TDs to 4 INTs this year.
Hes only been a starter for 4 years mind you....

#172 Posted: 11/24/2011 6:35:02 PM An average team, a below average QB (good skills, no IQ) and no identity. Look like amateurs against the Pack, their big test and they were dominated on every level. Proof's in the pudding, sorry. They can beat lowlifes like Carolina, congrats for them. Dont make them a top tier team, not even close. Glad you are a big fan, but take them fan-goggles off dude ... |

I'm not arguing that. I think he is the best QB in the league right now. But he has been in that system for 7 years didn't have to step right in.
I agree those are some HUGE shoes to fill and he has done it admirably.
