I hate the Lions more then any team in Football...

They are NOT over-rated, what-so-freaking-ever.

i understand last seasons plays into the whole excitement factor also, but i could not give up 7 points to chicago, based on the last 4 games.. theres no way

They are building, they look okay, but they dont have that package yet, that "it" factor, that team chemistry. this is not there season, but i do believe possible the next couple seasons they will be real deal conenders

Would like to give an example of another team & im not comparing the Lions to the Rams of 1999, just a thought........

Rams were 6-10, 5-11 & 4-12 the previous 3 years before their super bowl run.........the Rams were also a dog once in 1999 following that 4-12 season.......& that was in week 2, after that they were favs over their division rivals at home & on the road, by game 6, they were -18.5 point favs over the Browns & won & covered so your point of why the Lions are 7 point favs over the Bears are ridiculous because the oddsmakers know alot more than you or me & they know the Lions have what it takes to be a 7 point favorite or else they wouldnt have made them that, by the way, the Lions are -5, I dont know where you are getting 7...........

I don't know matt forte chicagos only weapon vs our 6 or 7 huge threats.  And forte is going no were with Shu and Fairley on defense he will be lucky to get 30 yds.

i agree... but excuse me if i ask you to side with me on this. bears offensive line ranks a bottom 5 in the leauge.. lions defensive line ranks top 5. lions rank top 10 in passing, bears rank bottom 10 in passing. both rank bottom 10 in rushing the ball. the point id give you is that the bears have had a tougher schedule and will play hard - but the lions will play hard also so it cancels out the effort level. talent wise - all detroit here, take in the fact that detroit is home.. ill have to put my emotions aside and bet heavy on Lions. so just take that into consideration - let me know what you think

Just when everyone is sure Jay Cutler sucks he's going to bust out a huge game on everyone here.  He is 4-0 against Detroit last seasons with a 100+ rating in each game and 9 TD, 1 INT.  Detroit's secondary is still weak as darn.  Fuckin Roy Williams can probably blow them up.  Cutler goes for 350 yards, Bears win 34-24.

Of course those stats are gonna look like that look who the Bears played the TOUGHEST schedule in the NFL and look who the lions have played.Lets not forget Dallas torched them and dominated the game. This is part of what i look for when handicapping. The Bears need this game and will fight and make it close til the end. They may not win outright but i will take the 6

Problem is d2, how long will Cutler have time to throw? And "past performance is not indicative of future results."

I understand and know what you meant but you had the arrow for Forte!!

Also i am not to sure if you look at the numbers closely you are giving Detroits defense a little too much credit at the moment in the last 2 games they have given up 245 yds on the ground and 549 in the air.Itys being over looked because a dumb coach couldnt run the ball with a 24 pts lead with 1.5 qtrs left in the game.Dallas dominted this game.I hope the Lions play like they played the last 2 games they will get beat

bears are not the cowboys ... i actually thought the cowboys were going to win that game before the game started and romo fucked it up at the end... but cowboys are way ahead of the bears. bears just dont have enough to keep it with in 5 points. their defense is considerably worse than last year. tougher schedule is the only thing positive about them going into this game, and its not their fault. you have to beat who you play. but i respect why your taking them on monday. lets talk on game time

Control Hester in the kicking game and DET wins imo. Easier said than done, I know.

Oh my god, you have to stop saying the Bears have played the toughest schedule. Of those ridiculous tough teams, yes, it will hurt their defensive stats, but here's the thing, New Orlenas, Atlanta and Green Bay have 3 of the worst pass defenses in the leagues, and still Cutler put up pedestrian numbers against them. Against the only top 10 pass defense they've faced so far (Carolina), he complete 9 passes for 102 yards, 0 TDs and 1 INT.

The Bears passing attack is one of the worst in the league thus far, and the Lions are a top 10 defense in both passing and rushing. If Cutler can't compete perform AT HOME against GB and ATL, he's got no hope of doing well in Detroit.

First off they made it a point to run the ball last week and didnt have many attempts and last year went 44-61 for 606 yds vs the Detriot defense.Listen if Detriot plays that schedule they would be lucky to be 2-2 lol
