Twitter feeds and rumor mills are burning to the ground with the rising buzz that Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers may have a concussion after taking a helmet-to-helmet hit from Chicago’s Julius Peppers in last Sunday’s NFC Championship Game.
Rodgers, who has already suffered concussions this season, refuted the claims that his brain was mush when addressing the media this week.
“I didn’t have a concussion,” Rodgers said in comments distributed by the team. “I want to dispel that rumor. No concussion. I was fine. Yeah. Helmets are designed to prevent concussions, I think.”
You think, huh? The one you wear does. The one that holds my Sweet-Chili-Heat Doritos on Sundays does not. Let’s just hope, for Green Bay’s sake, Rodgers didn’t confuse the two.
Shawn Doherty of The Capital Times is one of the growing number of media members who are buying into the Cheesehead cover-up conspiracy theory. He’s a health reporter and claims that Rodgers’ appearance following the hit fit the bill for a concussed QB. Without bugging the Packers’ trainers’ room, there’s no real way to know if Rodgers is really messed up or not.
Do you think Green Bay is keeping a tight lip on Rodgers’ status and hoping the extra week off will help him clear the cobwebs? Or is this just bye-week bullshit from a bunch of reporters who have exhausted every possible angle for Super XLV?

There was a sack in the first quarter by Urlacher that Rodgers got slammed into the ground and his head snapped back and hit the turf. He got up slow and was in pain.
If you have a replay watch that. At the time I was thinking to myself "Oh No, he might have another concussion"
His brain needs a long rest without getting hit. Thank God there is only one game left.

Pepper's helmet struck Rodgers on the jaw as I saw it. Jacked him pretty good and it could be a problem. If I was calling the D for Steelers, I 'd go after him early. It might be worth the penalty to make sure he hits the ground hard.

Yes........I'm a Bears fan. I'm over it completely. I will be rooting for the Pack, as I enjoy watching them and a dear friend is a die hard from Wis.
If there was a penalty, it probably should have been on Briggs. Peppers helmet slid up his shoulder pad and hit his face mask. No chance of a concussion with that dude.
Also, you sound like you may still be in grade school. You might want to try an adult forum. Just sayin.
We're in the Super Bowl and you're not loser.

WHAT? They fined Peppers $10,000. What r u talking about?
It was a clear overreaction, yet again by the NFL. The crown of his helmet made accidental contact with his facemask. Getting a concussion from that would be a pretty cool trick. The fine is just crazy.
Goodell need to step back from all this. This is not is his scope of work. The commissioner gets paid by the owners, and looks out for the owners. That's his job. The guy is ruining the game.

Exactly if you watch it in slomo his helmit hit his chest first then ran up into his chin. But i would think if any hit caused this it would be the Urlacher hit.Rodgers got up wobbly from that hit

Peppers led with the crown of his helmet right into Rodgers head. It was a hard and borderline cheap hit. We will have to agree to disagree on this one bro.
Guys like Aaron Rodgers are one every 3-4 years. On the planet there are only 5-6 of them. I agree with the commish, they should be protected and treated like primma donnas.
I would wonder if you are a Bears fan and have a real PRIMMA DONNA AS YOUR QB?
Rodgers is tough as nails. Ditto Big Ben, Brady,Rivers, Manning (P), Brees. They stare down the blitz, deliver the ball and take the hit. This is to be commended.
Cutler backs up, throws off his back foot and whines that his knee hurts before going shopping with his girlfriend the next day.
