Just a friendly reminder to all who use this angle when making your picks today. There's a reason these teams "need to win"
Because they haven't gotten the job done so far.
And just because they need to win doesn't mean they need to cover the inflated spreads.
And the team they are playing against? Well, maybe they have nothing left to play for except to be a spoiler. They will be loose, they will take chances. They would like nothing better than to end your season. And a lot of these games are divisional rivalries.
Perfect examples are the Giants/Redskins or Colts/Titans. Giants as a road favorite? Really?
Just thought I'd put that thought in your head. Good luck today.
I remember reading about a trend a few years back that favored teams that were out of contention vs teams going for a playoff spot or position. I have been trying to research that trend this week but was not able to find anything, having said that I just loaded up on the Browns +7
