Week 13 is under way and so far, we're 1-0, bringing my Overall Record to 54-34-2 YTD.
That Eagles 34-24 Win over the Texans was a BIG Win for us to start the week, as it was a 3-Unit Win... Lets hope it gives us momentum going into Sunday!!!
Week 13 Winners:
Minnesota -5.5 vs Buffalo: The MOST important factor going into this game is obviously whether or not Adrian Peterson is going to play, and all indications out of Minnesota is that he will suit up and play. Toby Gerhart did look "OK" against Washington but if Peterson had stayed healthy in that game, the Vikings literally Run away with that football game!! The Vikings couldnt be any more clear that they had completely Quit on Brad Childress and everything I've heard says they have tremendous respect for Leslie Frazier and will finish out the season VERY Strong for him! Minnesota should be able to slowdown Fred Jackson with their still very good Rush Defense. Buffalo almost shocked the world and beat the Steelers this past week in OT. Their Betting Value has been VERY good lately but IMO, their 'value' has run out... Buffalos passing game is decent enough but Minnesota will be getting after Fitzpatrick all day and should create havok in the backfield, blowing up the running game and knocking around the QB. Buffalos defense is AWFUL and Peterson/Favre should have a field day carving them up ALL DAY LONG! Make NO Mistake about it, this Buffalo team is STILL a 2 Win team and the Vikings are STILL Loaded with Talent and have been under achieving all season long... Their Talent will OVERWHELM the Bills on Sunday and I expect the Vikings to ROLL!! (Laying 2-Units)
San Diego -13 vs Oakland: I absolutely HATE laying this many points but the Chargers appear to be hitting their stride right now. Oakland may have beaten the Chargers in their last meeting but that was a result of 2 Blocked Punts and 3 Defensive Scores (2 TDs, 1 Safety)... Since then, SD has addressed their Special Teams problems and have appeared to be a very sound unit now. Oakland has had a lot of ups and downs this season but I do not think they're a solid enough unit to go into San Diego and compete, especially this time of the year. With their Team getting Healthier and playing Great football, I completely expect the Chargers to blowout the Raiders. Their Passing Attack is way too Lethal and their Defense is FULL of playmakers! They may have Peytons number but if they can force multiple INTs out of Manning, I cannot see them NOT forcing ATLEAST 2 out of Jason Campbell. In the Immortal Words of Arnold: "Go Chargers, GO!" (Laying 1-Unit)
Carolina +5.5 @ Seattle: I had big money on Seattle last week so I watched every snap of that game and boy was i disguisted! They couldnt stop the Running game AT ALL! They looked absolutely AWFUL defensively, against the Pass and the Rush! Luckily for Carolina, theyve got Jonathan Stewart back and Michael Goodson who have looked decent when getting carries, putting up 150+ rushing yards against the Browns this past Sunday. I expect the Panthers to Run ALL Over this Disguisting Seattle Defense, taking the pressure off of Clausen, and allowing him to set up some PA Pass. Seattle looks to be without the #1 WR Mike Williams again and I saw last week how big of a different maker he is to this team. Hasselback constantly looked for a playmaker on 3rd downs but poor route, after dropped ball, after miscommunication, led to A LOT of failed 3rd downs. Williams (going into lastweek) was the Highest Targeted WR in the League, so when you take a piece that important to an offense, out of the offense, its going to show through... and it did! Hasselback has limited weapons and not much of a Running Game to lean on, plus Carolinas actually decent against the Run, ranking 8th, so it will be up to Hass to beat them and I just dont think he has the weapons to do it. This isnt an "ideal" spot for me, as I Hate betting against Seattle @ Home, but Im confident that the Panthers have a good enough Running Game to lean on and control the clock and Win this football game! Ill take the Points here... (Laying 1-Unit)
Pittsburgh +3 @ Baltimore: This play hinges on 1 statistic and 1 statistic only. Pittsburgh is 3-5 against Baltimore in their last 8 meetings. In their 5 Losses against Baltimore, Big Ben DID NOT Play. The 3 Games he did play, they are 3-0... He WILL PLAY this Sunday! Gimme the Steelers! Baltimores defense is susceptable to big plays and the Steelers have the Best Big Play threat in the League in Mike Wallace and their Power Running Game will hopefully help set up the PA Fly to Wallace. This game will be won on Defense, as I see the Steelers Defense creating opportunities for their Offense... Back to my original statement, if Big Ben plays, the Steelers Win! (Laying 1-Unit)
I still might have a couple plays to add to this card... Im still contemplating playing Detroit, I LOVED this play when Shaun Hill was the starter, now im VERY torn, its a GREAT spot for Detroit @ Home, with Chicago coming off a BIG Win @ Home, now traveling on the road against a "Decent" Home team... But I just dont trust Stanton... Well see...
Im also thinking about playing Tampa Bay @ Home vs Atlanta, as I'm finally drinking the Bucs kool-aid and I think @ Home, they can play with Atlanta. The Falcons beat TB 27-21 earlier this year but it was in Atlanta and the Bucs couldve Won that game, Im beginning to think TB takes this matchup @ Home... Well see...
I'll also probably play the MNF Game... Ill update my card if I do...
Goodluck to Everyone!
