Just finished my first day of work at Moon Palace Sportsbook. Pulling in $6 an hour which is well above average down here, but the information as a teller at the book is extremely valuable.
PARLAY TONIGHT...
EAGLES MONEYLINE WITH OVER 39

I put in 7 hours today, everyone is on the Niners and the Under was the popular bet to the end of the shift. I also see percentages from Banca Five Star which is connected with BetCRIS.
I just can't trust this San Francisco team at all after what they have done this season. Constantly they find way to lose games. Their defense is horrid, with the young playmakers on Philly's side of the ball the moneyline looks fantastic tonight. I see a 27-21 Eagles win tonight, putting it well over the total.

Not to say you won't win but if you lose you will have to work for over 58 hrs to pay off that bet at $6/hr.

Haha, I am not in it for the money. I pay $700 for my condo monthly, more in it for the information. I made plenty working on the Rigs in Northern Alberta Canada where I was getting what I get in a day here per hour as a Derrikhand. After 2 years of 12 hour days 300 days a year, figured I would set up shop in the sun here for a couple of years and have some fun betting. This job is pretty fun, talk to tourists and see the books percentages and have the "occasional" beer while your at it. Pretty well anything goes down here, plus the place is air conditioned so its all good.

More or less, you have to be able to speak english, enough spanish to be able to say, hang on I will get someone else, and you have to be white.
I was two of the three when I went in to see if there were positions available. As bad as it sounds, the difference between whites and blacks here is huge. There are some 4 million tourists from North America who come to one of 45 4 or 5* resorts within 30 miles of each other each month. The population of the area from locals is less then 30% of that. Nearly all the businesses are owned by foreigners who can employ people for $10 a day and they simply clean up on tourists wanting to go on a dune buggy excursion or parasailing. With gambling being totally legal here, there are a number of little betting shops but the country is basically ran by Banca Five Star which is like a Vegas Sportsbook, if your black and local, unless you prove you have money, you can not enter the casino to begin with. So they are always looking for workers, if your white and english and know something about what your doing, your a shoe in.
Derrickhand was a little tougher but you really only needed to be able to speak english to start out for that one too.

Like I said, I made plenty enough working on the rigs and I am doing this simply to get information to win more games. The job itsself is great and super easy, surrounded by gambling and sports and alcohol during the night, its great. Also, taxes don't really exist down here and when I get my cheque for $200 every two weeks its probably going to go to the craps table on the way out on a 6 or an 8 to be honest.
