#1 Posted: 9/21/2010 1:12:04 AM This seems like an automatic play. Another home dog !! Just like the 49ers Monday Night game, this is Seattle +5.5. You gotta take the Seahawks, am I right ??

#2 Posted: 9/21/2010 1:14:32 AM Big deal, the Chargers beat Jacksonville. They aren't that good. Their running back -- Ryan Matthews -- is injured, and they have no WR's. Malcolm Floyd is a bum, and Sproles looks like a 7th grader.
Seattle +5.5, who's with me??

#3 Posted: 9/21/2010 1:16:08 AM Even Seattle moneyline could be a good play. Whenever the line is +5.5, I see those teams winning alot, especially at home, in the loudest stadium in the NFL -- Seattle

#6 Posted: 9/21/2010 1:24:44 AM I think that OVER is a coin flip. How is San Diego gonna run on Seattle? Seattle's D is fast. Plus, SD doesn't have any deep threats now that Vincent Jackson is gone. The only good receiver for the Chargers is Antonio Gates, but Seattle has the speed to keep up with him. Also, Seattle plays 10x better at home with their loud fans. Seattle's O isn't that scary either. Hasselback is old.
Does anyone if Merriman will play in this game??

There not going too. See alot of passing in this game and both teams will get into the 20 fairly easily. Just a lean as of now but will look more into it. Weather is a concern though.

#13 Posted: 9/21/2010 7:52:17 AM A lot of what Seattle did week 1 was from 49ers mistakes. they had a few short fields to work with, I am not sold on them nor the Chargers so this is probably a no play for me

#14 Posted: 9/21/2010 8:38:45 AM I sipped the Seattle kool-aid a little too soon this past weekend (after the blow out win of San Fran) and took them against the Broncos. Lost some $$$, thanks Seattle. |

#16 Posted: 9/21/2010 9:30:02 AM You can't compare the Chargers offense to the 49ers. I watched the 9er's/Seahawk game and if the 49er's knew how to finish a drive and had some decent play calling it would have been 14-0 San Fran early.
The Seahawks are a pretty bad team but will always play tough at home and being a home dog next week helps for sure. |

#18 Posted: 9/21/2010 9:58:43 AM The home dog angle could easily correct itself on one Sunday.
Big talent gap between these teams.
tread carefully

#19 Posted: 9/21/2010 10:51:28 AM This is a great spot for Seattle...
Week 1 - the sheep faded and lost
Week 2 - the sheep bet on and lost
Week 3 - the sheep fade and lose

I love this Seattle team. One of the easiest to read so far.

#21 Posted: 9/21/2010 4:00:43 PM This Charger team isn't as good as any of the past Charger teams in the last 5 years. I'll take my chances with Seattle +5.5. Who are the Charger DB's?? Is Merriman even playing?? All the Charger WR's are bums. All you do is stop Gates and Seattle wins or keeps the game close. Hopefully, Hasselback doesn't have a bad game and throws 3 INT's, that's my only concern.

#23 Posted: 9/21/2010 4:36:56 PM Honestly - Seahawks are the most over rated team 1-1 team in the league, in the same class as the 2-0 Bucs. Seatlle is junk - yet because they were given a victory ona silver platter by the Niners (3 turnovers handed to the 'hawks at SF 30 yd line or better) everybody is hot to trott on the Hawks - People do not over react on week one performances.
The bolts open on the road in a monsoon where rivers couldnt hear himself think and lose - they then beat the Jags by 20+ at home.
The Jags are much better than hawks - and the bolts are much better than broncos - so why then just because the seahawks play at home people think they can cover +5.5.
The Bolts roll and roll big time - if Kyle Orton can put up 30+ against the hawks D I like rivers putting up 30+ without a running game
Bolts to the bank IMO

#25 Posted: 9/21/2010 4:41:14 PM San Diego played an awful first half vs. Jacksonville last week, but somehow the Jags were worse. The Chargers were sloppy and undisciplined and very fortunate their opponent refused to take advantage of their myriad of mistakes.
Forget about last week, the Chargers are still a very poor early season bet.
6-20-1 ATS in 1st 5 weeks of season under Norv Turner |
