The Saints are just on fire!!! Despite a poor 1st half performance by Mr Brees the Saints came out in the 2nd half and buried the Phins suspect pass defense. Now NO are playing against a team in ATL that is struggling running the football and commitiing turnovers lately. Atlanta averages a sub-par 3.6 yards per carry this year, with just a smidgen over 100 yards rushing per game on average (102.8 per contest, 19th in the NFL this year to date). This aspect of the game is what made Atlanta good last year. Now they are going against the 8th best run defense in the NFL giving up only 92 yds per game. I just dont see the Falcons having success on the ground and that means problems for them as Matt Ryan has struggled lately. Over the last four weeks, Ryan has thrown 60/100 for 712 yards, six TDs and five interceptions. Now Ryan has to face a Saints pass defense who despite teams having to throw on them alot to get back in the game is only giving up 214 yds on average not to mention they are #1 in the NFL in interceptions with 13. Something that 2nd year QB Matt Ryan is strugglin with lately.
The Saints on offense are no longer 1 dimentional these guys move the football in every way!! On the ground they rank 3rd in the NFL with 154 yds per game and through the air we all know what these guys can do. This is a huge matchup problem for the Falcons as they rank 23rd in the NFL against the run and against the pass the Falcons have coughed up 768 net passing yards in their last three games (256 per contest, on average), Tony Romo blew them up for 21/29 for 299 net yards, three TDs and zero interceptions last week. The banged-up Atlanta secondary is using a lot of journey-men and rookies in their DB rotation and the lack of experienced, quality personnel showed last week against Dallas. On Tuesday, the DB cupboard got a little more bare as rookie S William Moore (2nd round pick), who has struggled with a hamstring injury since training camp, went on the IR.
So in conclusion there is just no advantage anywhere on the field for the Falcons to justify taking the 12 pts and I can very easily see yet another Saints blowout!
SAINTS -12 is the easy money tonight!!!

the falcons "need" this one more... if they want to stay within shouting distance of the saints in the standings, they will be the more desparate team.
AND; I do think that a dozen is too many, I mean who the fk are they playin, Detroi' or StLoui' ... seems to me that line is outta whack. Why so outta whack????
Harder for me to lay the points than take those dd's....
just what the books want. make it hard to lay-em. Saints or nothin for me too.
Also, leanin under the too many total... whats that all about? Its not Boise vs Hawaii.
anyway bol

I like the under too..People need to wake up and look at the facts instead of dreaming and fantasizing. New Orleans is the play plain and simple.

If anyone is on the Falcons I would like to hear an argument as to why?? And I dont want to hear it's too many points that is a sucker reason!!
You like to mention all the things the Saints do well but what about the Falcons? Ranked #1 in the NFC in points allowed, and #4 in the NFL! Just one stat of many of why the Saints -12 in a division game is not "Easy Money"

Well said. Here are 5 reasons why 12 is too many points:
1) They are both dome teams, so you have to exclude a large portion of the Saints normal turf advantage.
2) The Falcons are coming off of a bad loss and will come up with a huge effort tonight.
3) Everyone is talking about the Falcons defence being suspect, yet they have forfeited less TD's the Saint's defence.
4) This is a divisional game of huge importance.
5) *** Do your own homework *** Find the last time a 4-2 was getting 12 points.

All your reasons are garbage!! This is the Saints first prime time game this year and they will want to put on a show. Atlanta can have all the motivation they want they just dont have the talent nor the execution to cover against the Saints tonight. As for the line being at 12 this is a trap for you to wanna take Atlanta because the perception like you said is that a 4-2 team shouldnt be getting 12 points.
As for the Falcons having a good scoring defense it's because 1. They have played against poor defensive teams that cant stop their clock eating offense and the offense they played cant score either. However look at what 2 great offensive teams did against this top 5 scoring defense. New England won 26-10 and we all know what Dallas won 37-21. If those team can do that then you can only imagine what the Saints will do.

So you think the most important/significant edge the Saints hold in this match is their home turf????
2) The Falcons are coming off of a bad loss and will come up with a huge effort tonight.
Effort? What in God's universe do you call the Saints' last week come-from-behind win (and cover!)on the road against a much tougher defense than the Falcons? Anyway, I do see the Falcons giving a little more effort than normal, holding the Saints to 34 points instead of their normal 40.
3) Everyone is talking about the Falcons defence being suspect, yet they have forfeited less TD's the Saint's defence.
Well, yeah, but... so what if... ok, you got me here.
4) This is a divisional game of huge importance.
You betcha it is. And that's why I don't think the Saints will be trailing by two TD's by halftime. I see a very inspired Saints team coming up on top by 7+ by the first half, and edging the Falcons by 7+ in the second.
5) *** Do your own homework *** Find the last time a 4-2 was getting 12 points.
Do yours. When was the last time that 4-2 overachieving team was playing the 6-0 40-ppg Saints? Check out who the Falcons and the Saints have beaten this year. It doesn't take much homework to see what kind of an edge the Saints hold over the lowly Falcons... It is what it is.

Yeah we can think Matt fukn Forte for this record, shit Chicago was in the red zone Matt cough it up twice, and should have went into overtime. With all that said they should b 3and 3.
