#2 Posted: 10/23/2009 5:31:19 PM my only reasoning can be that some sharpie is pounding the Steelers, It is too early - with baseball and all to see that kind of movement - if u know what i mean |

#4 Posted: 10/23/2009 5:33:52 PM it means the steelers fans are laying the wood to the best QB in the league right now. 1, 2, splitting hairs. Favre is on it this year. and it is suppose to be nice this weekend? if its bad weather I would take teh steelers back. |

wait and see, maybe its a good chance to middle it
if your losing confidence in the Vikes.. Pitt is very hard place to win.
Toughest test for The Vikes, 2nd to Balty which really should have won the game SU
I had balt on teh ML last week I should have taken the points it was only + 130 balt

#8 Posted: 10/23/2009 5:55:06 PM i got in early at 4 and loving it now. I see this as big pgh defensive statement game and tough matchup for favre where as long as Ben gets some protection he will kill minny downfield. Pgh will shut down AP and favre will struggle this week trying to press. It's a statement game for Steeler D and Ben will do more than enough for the cover. Let's ease up on Favre best QB in league stuff he's done nothing but throw underneath routes and hand off to the best RB in the league. He's having a great year so far but best QB in league?? 14th in yds, 5th tds, 3rd passer rating.. This week will show how great he still is because Pgh will seriously limit the dink and dunk crap and force him down field. He can make a throw here....a throw there but let's see him stretch the defense because that's how you beat the pgh defense. I don't see it |

#11 Posted: 10/23/2009 6:27:11 PM For Pit backers, I promise you, if you wait till just prior to kick off, this line will be back down to where it opened. The public is absolutely going to hammer Min at +6. Be patient and you will get your -4 action.

me too, keep it and lay some more on the higher number. minny wins close games, pitts does not, unless playing a winless team. |

#15 Posted: 10/23/2009 7:54:58 PM Missing CB Winfield is huge loss for Minny. Don't think it was coincidence Bal move ball fairly well in 2nd half after he was hurt. A worrisome part about Pitts is AP runs wild w/ DE Smith out. Though they did OK last wk against Cle Lewis.

#17 Posted: 10/23/2009 8:29:13 PM Keep in mind Minnesota's defensive QB passer rating is 91, good for 23 in the league.
And remembrer who they've played, Cleveland (47.51) 32cd, Detroit (61.73) 28th, Rams (74.33) 25th.
Now they play Big Ben and the 4th rank QB passer rating in the league, NO CONTEST.
Minnesota is the most overated team in the league, not a legitimate SB team. |

#18 Posted: 10/23/2009 10:08:49 PM This game is not a gimmie for the Steelers. The first half of the niners and ravens games were DOMINATED by Minnesota. They need to know how to close games and hopefully they can do it this week. BOL with all of your bets. |

#21 Posted: 10/24/2009 1:31:51 AM The Vikes are without Antoine Winfield.... and we saw what Baltimore did with that.
Plus, it gets harder and harder to stay undefeated each week, add that to playing on the worst field in the league and a tough environment to play in. Steelers take it, maybe not by 4 but i believe they win.

#22 Posted: 10/24/2009 1:32:47 AM Polamalu plans on playing vs. Vikings
PITTSBURGH -- Steelers safety Troy Polamalu has returned to practice after sitting out two days to rest his still-healing left knee. Polamalu
practiced Friday with the Steelers' starters and is planning to play
Sunday against the unbeaten Vikings. He did not practice Wednesday or
Thursday.
The five-time Pro Bowl safety tore the medial collateral ligament in his left knee Sept. 10 against Tennessee. He
returned last Sunday to make an interception against Cleveland,
although he said an additional week or two off would have helped the
knee recover faster. After practicing Friday with a knee brace,
Polamalu plans to try to wear it Sunday. He discarded the brace after
going through pregame warmups before the Cleveland game, saying it
restricted his running. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4589567
