REASON: CAROLINA ENDED THERE LONG STREAK OF LOSING AGAINST THE REDSKINS….WITH TAMPA BEING ALMOST LAST IN RUSH YARDS ALLOWED IN THE NFL I SEE CAROLINA BEING ABLE TO BUILD OFF THE CONFEDENCE AND COME OUT OF THERE WITH A WIN…CAROLINAS OFFENSE HASN’T BEEN THE STRONGEST BUT I BELIEVE THEY ARE FURTHER ALONG IN REGROUPING AND GETTING THINGS BACK TOGETHER THAN TAMPA IS..TURNOVERS HAVE BEEN A HUGE FACTOR THIS YEAR FOR THEM BUT BESIDES THAT IF IT WASN’T FOR ALL THE TURNOVERS CAROLINA WOULD BE A 2-2. OR MAYB BETTER THAN THAT...DON’T FORGET TO MENTION LAST WEEK THE SCORE SHOULD HAVE BEEN 27-10 INSTEAD OF 20-17..CAROLINA GAVE A FUMBLE UP ON THE OPENING DRIVE WHICH ALLOWED A TD, THEN THEY COULD NOT CONNECT FROM THE 1 YD LINE…THE BUCS ARE 0-5 AND ARE LOOKING TO GO 0-6 IF THEY DON’T HAVE A COMPLETE TURN AROUND…
PICK:CAROLINA +3
CLEAVLAND @ PITTSBURGH -14
REASON:CLEAVLAND PULLED OFF A UPSET LAST WEEK AGAINST BUFFALO BUT WILL NOT COME CLOSE TO DOING THAT AGAINST PITTSBURGH..WITH DEREK ANDERSON ONLY COMPLETING 2 PASSES LAST WEEK, IT WILL BE EVEN HARDER TO COMPLETE ONE IN PITTSBURGH..PITTSBURGH WAS UP LATE AGAINST THE LIONS BUT GAVE UP THE LATE SCORE PLUS BIG BEN THREW A INT FOR A TOUCHDOWN..THE BROWNS RANK 32ND IN RUSHING DEFENSE AND 9TH IN PASSING..THE LIONS OFFENSE IS MUCH BETTER AND I WOULDN’T BE SURPRISED IF PITTSBURGH SHUT THEM OUT…
PICK:PITTSBURGH -14
PHILEDELPHIA
VS. OAKLAND +15
REASON:THE EAGLES ARE FAVORITES OF 14 OR MORE FOR THE SECOND STRAIGHT WEEK..DONAVAN BACK HEALTHY AND THE DEFENSE IS PLAYING VERY WELL I EXPECT TO SEE THE EAGLES TO COME OUT AND DO SOMEWHAT OF THE SAME LAST WEEK AND HAVE THERE WAY WITH THE RAIDERS..WESTBROOK HAS YET TO HAVE A BIG GAME THIS YEAR AND WITH THE RAIDERS BEING RANK 28TH IN RUSH DEFENSE AND 32ND IN PASS DEFENSE I SEE HIM GETTING SOMETHING GOING…I ALSO LIKE THE EAGLES TO GET THERE RUNNIG GAME TOGETHER ALONG WITH THE PASSING, AND COVER THE POINTS..I HAVE TO ACTUALLY SAY THE BUCS ARE BETTER THAN THE RAIDERS AND I SEE THE EAGLES ALLOWING MAYB 10 BUT WONT BE AS CLOSE AS TAMPA....OAKLANDS 2ND STRAIGHT GAME A GOOD WAY FROM HOME..
PICK:EAGLES-15

Eagles are going to WITHOUT a doubt get the blow out win (hopefully because thats my bank game) but idk about that pitt. they didnt cover an -11 spread against the LIONS and only beat them by a touchdown . . its a risk pick considering they couldnt cover against a team who just celebrate there FIRST win of the season 2 weeks ago (and in the last 2 years i think)
Ok, this is my last bet ever . . .

THANKS I LIKE THE EAGLES TO BUT I WAS LIKING THE STEELERS MORE..YOUR RIGHT THEY DIDNT COVER LAST WEEK BUT THE LIONS DO HAVE MORE FIRE POWER ON OFFENSE THAN DO THE BROWNS

Carolina - 50/50, Bucs got some running backs too... Pittsburg- Good bet, but would be better if it wasn't for the bad weather... Philadelphia- No Brainer of the week.
Let's get that money!

Lions are better than the Browns IMO. They are in the middle of the pack in most categories and have a more potent offense than the Browns.

I like your Car/Pitts/Philly picks, gonna roll with those myself. I like the ravens plus the points too, they're a good team and not that the vikings aren't good but they've been struggling to win over some not so spectacular teams lately and they're due for a loss imho.
The only one I'm still waffling on is the Saints game. Normally I would take the Gmen plus the points, as it seems odd they aren't favored in this game. That and with Manning's psuedo-injury it'll be interesting to see how he does tomorrow. I may take the Saint's but tease it to -2.5 to be on the safe side.
GL tomorrow

We all know the Browns completely suck, but a lesser known fact is that, for a team that's defending a Super Bowl title and expected to contend for another one this year, the Steelers kinda suck, too. This -14 line is a bloated one for sure. In order for a huge home favorite to win by more than two touchdowns, they usually need to come out of the tunnel with fire coming out of their nostrils. They need to come out pissed off and STAY pissed off.
The thing is, though, it's hard for a team to bring that kind of intensity and maintain it for all four quarters when they're utterly uninspired by the feeble opposition. Why in the world are the Steelers going to be fired up to kick Cleveland's ass all over the field? The answer, in my opinion, is they're not. The Steelers haven't just been flat lately, they've been flat all season. They had one dominating half of play against the Chargers on Sunday night football and I think we all remember how their intensity that night vanished sometime during the halftime intermission.
Check out Pittsburgh's upcoming schedule. Next week, Brett Favre brings his undefeated Vikings to town. Then the Steelers have their cherished bye week. After that, they get a shot to go to Denver to see if they can succeed where the Cowboys and Patriots failed. Next, they host the Bengals in a HUGE revenge game. In other words, the Steelers have a lot of interesting things to look forward to. But first up is today's snoozer against the boring, lousy Browns. Do you really want to bet on the Steelers bringing their "A" game today? And please, people, don't tell me that a team doesn't need their "A" game to beat up the Browns. If you're willing to lay 14 points in the NFL with a team that you know isn't going to be up for the game, you're taking a terrible risk.

UnknownCapper90, you've just done what I thought could not be done. Somehow, you've just talked me into a bet on the sickly Raiders. By the way, the game is in Oakland, not Philly.

UnknownCapper90, I'm going to guess that this will be your first time betting on the miserable Panthers this season. I'm pretty sure that if you had bet on them already, even once, your tone in this writeup wouldn't be nearly as forgiving. You just took "giving them the benefit of the doubt" to a new level. It makes NO SENSE AT ALL to surmise that if it weren't for all the turnovers, Team A would have a better record right now. Well of course they would. But Team A (in this case, the horrid Panthers) DID have all those turnovers because their offense is disjointed and their quarterback has the mobility of my grandpa. A truer statement would be that the Panthers would be a well-deserved 0-4 right now if the awful Redskins hadn't bungled last week's game even worse than Carolina did. Anyways, I bet the Buccaneers +3.5 and ML +160 early in the week.
And by the way, I have bet on the Panthers this season. Twice. I also had a large under wager on opening day that Jake Delhomme torpedoed on his own. Take it from me, at the end of this game, you'll probably be on your way to hating these assholes just like I do. Oh, a reminder to everyone - the "I Hate the Carolina Panthers" weekly meeting will take place this week at 6 P.M. on Wednesday here in the pro football forum instead of the usual Tuesday. I figure we'll all be watching the Yankees and Angels anyway whereas there's not much going on the following day.

Bator how fishy is it that oakland are getting 15 points at home in a part of the nfl season where "everyone is still contending"? Doesn't make alot of sense to me and I get a feeling there's a reason for it.
