Dont usually post, but I was listening to Mad Dog Radio this morning and they had a sports handicapper on, I didnt get his name....

Anyways he said

That in the NFL

Over the past 5 years, the team that wins the game outright has covered the spread 86% of the time!!!!

Is that really true?

86% of the time

That would mean the dog rarely covers and loses

Mindboggling

"Remember that in the vast majority of games in the major sports, the winner also covers the spread.  In the NFL, for example, the favorite wins and covers, or the underdog wins outright, over 80 percent of the time.  In less than one of every five games does the favorite win but fail to cover... Gear your research towards trying to determine which factors govern the winning of games."  - Andrew Iskoe  Owner, Logical Approach

This is from a sports handicapping book and its a fact.  Just have to find the winner!!!
