#1 dog on the board....Ravens +3.5....thoughts????

i want to add 1 dog to my card for Sunday....what does everything about Balt +3.5...LT is a GTD already and certainly won't be 100% for Sunday............does anyone else think this game has FG at the end written all over it?  Or a potential Balt SU win depending on status of the SD injured OL who left last night's game, plus LT?

I also like NYJ at home +5 now at betjam (moved from 5.5 ugh) vs NE, but who knows, maybe week 1 was the only rusty game for NE all season...

had thoughts about Car +6.5. but want it at 7 and it moved to 6...

Kind of thinking I really like the Baltimore play...what do you all think is your fave dog play of Week 2?

Chargers RB LaDainian Tomlinson (ankle), C Nick Hardwick (knee), G Louis Vasquez (leg), and NT Jamal Williams (undisclosed) are all expected to be game-time decisions on Sunday.
Coach Norv Turner doesn't expect any of the injured players to practice on Wednesday, so we won't have a good idea on their status until Thursday at the earliest. Tomlinson rolled his ankle in the first quarter Monday night, and he's already looking to lose work to Darren Sproles even if he does play. He could also be without two starting offensive linemen.


to lock it in now getting 3.5....if SD IS missing those OL for the game...boy look out....someone talk me off of locking in Baltimore right now before it moves to 3 even...?

7 of KC points was from a blocked punt returned for a TD....but yes, they did struggle. I don't expect that unit to struggle again for a 2nd week in a row...and if they do...it seems like the SD offense is struggling just as much, might be minus LT and THREE O lineman.

I decided to lock in the play

I think Baltimore is going down in flames this week. If SD hits -3 at good juice it's an auto play for me.

I think this is a very nice matchup with Phillip Rivers against this secondary.

I like SD here too...Balts D is not the same with Rex Ryan gone....even if LT doesnt play that just means Sproles will get more time on the field...lets not forget that Balt was tied at 24 with KC at the 3 min mark

Honestly, if they are missing even ONE of those 3 OL, and LT, I think Balt D will wreak havoc.  I don't like Sproles to do much of anything against that defense...SD will become immediately 1 dimensional if their OL plays shaky in the 1st Q...and we saw SD defense susceptible to the run....HELLO Rice, Mcgahee and Mcclain...I think it could come down to a FG which is why I jumped on it getting the 3.5. BOL

Have to keep an eye on the injury situation for sure but this just looks like a nice spot for SD.

Tough travel for Baltimore and like I said I'm not sold on the Baltimore secondary at all. brodie Croyle came away with 116 rating against them on the road no less, and he's a backup!

baltimore gave kc 14 points and the defense fell asleep after a lack of a challenge..they were sleep walking.. the ravens dont play well on the west coast either. rex ryan has absolutely nothing to do with how good the defense is..marvin lewis was first ravens defensive genius who won the superbowl...man those bengals are killer!!   Under seems the play but there are better games out there

Jets getting points at home is the best dog in my opinion this week... Wait till Sunday morning when everyone pounds the Patriots like they always do, and get a line near 6 or 7

NYJ opened at +5.5 and its down to -4 with Pats +100 juice....I am thinking of adding NE to my card...

I disagree with Balt...I think their D gets it back on track and SD will struggle again EITHER WAY, but ESPECIALLY if their OL are out of the game...we'll see, I like the extra .5 i got as I expect it to move to 3 even shortly.

14 of KC's 24 pts were the result of a blocked punt recovered in the end zone and an interception returned to the Bal 6 yard line.

Raven's D did not blitz at all.

The Chiefs had one 50 yard bomb that should have been knocked down by the DB and a 20 yard swing pass before half time that was meaningless.

If I was betting SD I would be less worried about the Ravens D than I would be Joe Flacco and Cam Cameron.

To the naked eye, Baltimore looks like a good play.  They just tore apart the Chiefs(score was much closer than it should have been), they have a running game that can possibly exploit SD like the Raiders did, Flacco looks great, etc, but something in my gut says SD shows up big on Sunday.
 
Baltimore has to fly across the country and I think it is safe to say that the SD aerial attack is a lil better than KC's.  I'm not too worried about LT being injured either.  Sproles should be just fine in his spot if need be.  Sproles may not be built for an entire season as an every down back, but he should be fine for this particular game.

going form east coast to west coast is not a big deal.
Its the other way around that can throw teams off

I like Baltimore, but agree Jets is the best dog this week.

but of course every time I lay money on the jets they burn me...damn favre

yeah not sure why everyone cares about going east to west...the real timechange F up effect on a team is going WEST to EAST......

anyway....could go either way, but at the moment I am happy with Balt +3.5

thought people might have missed this quote today out of San Diego....makes me love Baltimore +3.5 even more...depending on how the morning goes and the line movement, I may lay another unit down on Balt as a 2 unit play, we'll see.

A spirited week of practice may be needed for the Chargers, who won at Oakland on Monday despite getting manhandled for stretches. OLB Shaun Phillips is weary of references to a game the Bolts won. "Everybody's kind of moping around like we lost. We didn't lose the football game."

Oddly enough Baltimore's defense was the same after Marvin Lewis, Mike Nolan, Mike Singletary and now Rex Ryan. Don't be fooled by KC scoring a couple times. Baltimore now has an offense to go with the defense. I like the 3.5 here.

This is a tricky game for me.  At first glance i was like Baltimore, especially +3.5 to the mutha fuckin bank!  Anytime i think that about an NFL game i take a step back cuz it aint never that easy.
 
San Diego got their asses kicked by the RAIDERS!  R-A-I-D-E-R-S.  Not sure if homefield will tighten up that run D?  perhaps it will? this is the NFL...But they got their shit handed to them all game.  Oakland ran the ball at will and stopped the run dead, except for the two goaline TD plays.
 
With or without injured O-linemen, with or without LT, i dont like San Diego's chances of running the ball at all.  Dont think that will matter too much, as this game comes down to Rivers slinging it all game vs a perhaps somewhat suspect secondary.  I DO think that Ravens can get pressure on Rivers, but SD can still hit on some big passing plays regardless. 
Im on Baltimore or no play, definitely not big.
