Someone take the highlighter out of scsiegel's hand: These guys in the booth are disecting each play! They are counting 3 seconds for the completion with the review in slow motion!!!

Exactly.  I have been screaming at these idiots for thinking that when you go up in the air for a catch and fall to the ground (even in the end zone, yes, you idiots), you still have to maintain possession all the way through to the ground!!!!   Where did they get their info from that the rule in the end zone is different ??!!!  They kept focusing on him coming down with two feet.  What the fuck ?!!  Idiots.

I think they paid the bill on the yellow line.  It seems to be making a late appearance.
 
I didnt even have the energy to type how dumb the announcers were to not know that rule.  I knew the second I saw the replay that it wasnt a catch.
 
Its the rule.  If I had a job to be an expert on something, and I didnt know something as basic as that because I didnt bother to learn it - I would probably be fired.

there are 18 threads now with people not knowing this rule whining that it was a bad call.  are there this many people on this board who do not know the rules ?!  even bator is spouting off it was the wrong call.  what is the matter with everyone ?!!

I dont have the energy anymore to fight that tide.  Its a losing battle.  I have tried for years to explain basic rules and strategy, but nobody gets it.

Hedging parlays, betting parlays on different days, football strategy, basic math, probability - all things you would think a sports gambler would want to know - but not the case.

 i hear ya - i'm falling asleep, but find myself trying to fight that losing battle.  you are right - - people (well, most here) do not listen.  you barely get people to understand when the defense, late in the game, needs to let the other team get a TD on purpose to get the ball back instead of wasting clock.
