Yes I' m a Raider fan so I'm trying to be partial here. But I believe 14-1 odds for them to win the AFC West is a low risk / high reward bet that might actually pay off. They have all the talent needed to win the weak AFC West. Last year 8-8 took the division. The big question marks are QB & run defense. I think Jamarcus plays much better this year. He actually looked pretty good the last few games last year. Also, I'm not overly concerned with Garcia waiting on the sidelines. The run defense is gonna suck, theres no getting around that. I do like the new defensive coordinator though. He brings a different scheme with  a lot more blitzes. So let the hating begin. Call me crazy but I think 14-1 is a good price for the Raiders to win the division

I agree. San Diego will be tough, but I think Denver and KC have too many problems, which makes 14-1 in a two horse race a pretty good bet.

You also might want to look at the total wins for the season. I put a bundle on the Raider at over 5.5 wins for -135.

Raiders always find ways to lose... Gl with your bet but SD somehow will win that division, KC got a lot better, although I think Raiders got a lot better as well.

I agree Vuudooo. That is exactly my point, there is a lot of value here at 14-1. Especially considering that it is basically a two horse race (as PatsFanCT pointed out). KC and Denver are horrible. And we all know that SD has a tendency to implode. By the way rubberneck. It snowed in the Oakland hills in December of 2008. So by your logic, I like their chances

14-1 is too long.  Should be 8 or 9-1.

Oakland's offense is way too inconsistent and their defense has holes bigger than (Insert lewd comparison here).

Tom Cable's is punching out his assistants for added flavor.

San Diego wins this division as they are the most complete, all-around team.  And you cannot compare it to last season when they got robbed at Denver, had to play in London, and suffered some key injuries.

Take the 14-1, but don't expect to be doing anything with it come January.

im also a die hard raider fan and im already all over it and prolly put more into it.. russell will play alot better and long as we have a strong running game and mcfadden brings that to tha table.. our reciever is young and a big target for russell and not to mention our sleeper tightend.. only prob is we prolly have one of tha hardest schedule in football for a team under .500.. we should of won tha west last year if it wasn't for melt downs in end of game at tha beginning to tha year.. i have high hope for my raider team so lets go RAIDERS...RAIDERS...

It's hard for me to understand that the Raiders have finished last in their division the last few years but their schedule continues to be brutal. This year they have the Eagles...Giants...Steelers....Cowboys and Redskins to name a few of the non divisional teams they have to play. When I looked at their schedule when it came out I thought they would be lucky to win six games, it is that fuckin tough....

That is definitely a good value at 14-1..they do have a rough go at it thats for sure but for bang for your buck it looks good...If they can finish somewhere in the middle of the league in run defense they have a shot...GL bro I will be pulling for ya!!

Thanks Island stlye. It just came out that Chaz Schilens has a broken bone in his left foot and is out indefinitely. That is horrible news for the Raiders. He was being counted on big time at the WR position. But I still think it's a good value.

Good value, but you'll need some lucky bounces i.e. key injuries to SD players to make that happen. It all depends on the defensive side of the ball.

Broncos will suck. Pains me to say that being a die hard fan.Chiefs are up and coming, and I think Cassel will find it rough in his first season there.

GL pal.

Lorenzo Neal is now a Raider...case closed. Haha

In all seriousness the Raiders are loaded with talent on both sides of the ball. If Jemarcus gets it all together they definitely have a shot at the West.

Regardless of the bad breaks to get them there lets not forget that San Diego was 4-8 last year at one point. LT is getting slower and Lorenzo Neal isn't plowing holes for him anymore he's busting them open for McFadden who looks to have a great year.

Raiders definitely have a shot at the West and after they beat SD on Monday night to start the season that 14-1 is gonna shrink in half so I'd grab it now.

Agree with DUL there, over 5.5 or 6 is much better than winning the division.

I just hope all these hypes after the first pre-season game do not screw up the line I normally get when betting on the Raiders as a road dog this coming year.
