#1 Posted: 6/5/2009 12:11:58 PM After a few practices under new head coach Rex
Ryan it appears the New York Jets
have at least learned how to talk a good game. The NFL will have to wait until
September to see if they can play a good game.
According to the New York Daily News, Jets'
safety Kerry Rhodes(notes) expressed the confidence
the other day on his Twitter account, writing, "We will be the best
defense in the league this year. I feel for the offenses we're gonna
face."
He isn't alone. I asked LB Calvin Pace(notes) about Rhodes'
statement, and Pace said of the Jets' defense, "I don't think you'll find
a better team on paper." He was quick to add that paper doesn't mean
anything if the players underachieve, but there's no mistaking the confidence in
the locker room.
And Rex Ryan loves it.
"I'm excited about that comment," said
Ryan, agreeing with Rhodes' assessment.
"You know what? I love the fact that he put 'we will,' not, 'I'll be the
best safety.'"

is it bad i'm excited for Jets football in June?

What changes have they made to correct that? Any new players back in the secondary? Any better pass rushers? |

i think the Offense will put the Jets D in some bad spots this year ...
Turnovers and costly 3 and outs ...
8-8--7-9 Sounds about right
