Eli just threw for his first 300 yard passing game. That with the fact the Giants will have the one seed wrapped up early, he might not even have to play the last 2 games of the year. Peytons remaining schedule...
-Home to cinci -Home to detroit -At jax -Home to tenn
No doubt Peyton needs to finish strong to have any shot at this award. But the next 3 games theres a possibility he could put up big numbers...

#14 Posted: 12/3/2008 7:08:40 PM best performers this year are units (giants o line) or individual defenders like albert haynesworth or kris jenkins
but given the two surgeries peyton had in the off season, the o line injuries, the lack of a running game, and marvin's drop off...and they are 8-4?!?!?! i would have to look hard at him

Just one question . . . . How would DeAngelo get MVP over Adrian Peterson? |

Why does someone on the Panthers need to be noticed? Just cause theyve had a good season does not mean someone needs to be in mvp consideration. Thats just foolish. |

#24 Posted: 12/4/2008 4:08:23 PM I would have to say Matt Ryan.... Yea the whole orgiznation made changes, but look what this Rookie has done. Last year Atl had 4 wins... now they have 8 with 4 more games to go, all of which are very much winnable. They would be leading 2 other NFC divisions, but since their division is so tough a great records looks dismal with 2 other teams above them, but yet they are tied for 4th in the NFC.
IMO an MVP is the most VALUABLE player, who has the most impact on each and every game they have played in, and what team wouldn't be doing so well with out this player?

I agree that the mvp is the most VALUABLE player and if that is the case, how do you not take Peyton over Ryan? KOAJ said it well, to overcome his surgeries, no running game, completely banged up o-line, they would be awful without him. Ryan has been great but atleast the Falcons have a good running game to work with. |
