Why are Titans -3?

Orton is out and Grossman is a turnover machine against a Titans D? something seems too fishy about this line

and im loving KC +15 considering San Diego has a terrible pass defense, and I doubt they blow out the chiefs

I don't think there is anthing fishy about Tenn. being a fav in Soldier field.  This isn't college footbal...do you expect them to be favored by double digits?

I am not sure about this and will have to analyze it but I think the Titans will lose either here or in the next couple of weeks. They are not the 2007 Pats. I think the way the NFL has been this season I wouldn't know what to expect. My early lean would be Tenn. but I wouldn't put my mother on it.

Rex Grossman will single handedly be the reason this game is a blow out.. Im jumpin on the Titans now before that line goes up! Look for at least 2 Rex INT's and maybe even a fumble! GL

They're not the 2007 Pats, but keep in mind they do have one of the easiest 2nd half schedules in the league.

but rexy against this defense?  only hope for chicago is kerry collins givin a short field for chicago here and there.  soldier field ghosts may lurk.  we'll see

the titans have had three road games ,,.. the baltimore game they were behind the whole game hadnt score a td and scored in the last minute to win  13-10 they were very lucky to win .......there other road games were at KC and cinci when at a time when both KC and the bengals weren't competitive so i think this line is right on

Call me a sucker or whatever but i will take a better team -3 all day long. taking the Bears +3 here is like taking the Raiders + 3 vs. Falcons last Sun.

This is why most people lose because they think the line is fishy and over think themselves and play the loser 99.9% of the time

titans defense will own grossman and force him into bad decisions (as if he doesnt make any already).
hope to see rex on his ass a lot come sunday

i know bears defense is good but titans defense is just as good, as well as special teams.  i give the titans a slight edge in the run game as well with their 2-headed monster RB position over solid rookie matt forte.
sadly the titans passing game with kollins is better than the bears' with grossman (if orton was in then i think bears have the passing edge IMO)
these titans still are not gettin respect.
get titans at -3 before it goes up!

  • chicago has 10th BEST rush offense.
  • chicago has 3rd WORST passing defense but 6th BEST rush defense.
  • on punts, opposing returners avg the 10th SHORTEST returns vs chi.
  • chi has 16 SACKS on the year and forced only 5 fumbles (25th)
  • chicago has ALLOWED their QB to be sacked 15 times thus far.

  • tennessee has 4th BEST rush offense.
  • tennessee is 12th BEST in pass def and 10th BEST rush defense.
  • on kickoffs, opposing returners avg the 2nd LONGEST returns vs tenn.
  • tenn has 22 SACKS on the year (6th best) and forced 9 fumbles (10th)
  • tenn is FIRST IN SACKS ALLOWED (with only 4 opposing sacks allowed all year!)

Chi defense has not done well at home this year and I see Tenn scoring 20+ while Chi will struggle to score 16 or 17. I also see points off turnovers being at least +3 in favor of Tenn.

If you're giving up 3 off home field, then just look at this line as really -6.  Which is about right.  Put it at an actual -6 or -6.5 and most would be on the Bears.
 
Rex is so-so at best, but do remember he won some games for them too.

the chicago defense looked like swiss cheese last week against the mighty Lions...

the Titans will force Rex to make plays and that will be a disaster

It's funny how a guy gets labeled and it sticks with him forever.   If Grossman is a turnover machine, what is Kerry Collins?  Collins has the record for most QB fumbles in a season, and is  # 5 all-time for QB fumbles.   Their INT rate is similar.   These guys are basically the same QB, I don't see a clear advantage for the Titans here.

Orton i don't believe is ruled out for sure.  From the sounds of the comments he made to an espn reporter he is playing.  Bears +3
