#1 Posted: 1/18/2008 12:53:40 PM the Chargers will get shutout in NE and the Giants will get passed then run all over in GB.
this is easy this weekend. the lines were set on people's optimism that the upsets will carry over into this week. not going to happen.
NE 31 SD 0
GB 27 NYG 13 |

#4 Posted: 1/18/2008 2:46:44 PM NE's defense is not dominant, there are match us that can be exploited. San Diego's speed in the backfield will pose a problem for Bruschi, Seau, and Harrison in coverage. I do think that Brady will put up his normal 30+ points, but I also think that SD will get between 17-24. The Pats had a hard tie getting off the field against Jacksonville, as evidence of the 22 first downs given up. The Chargers have more explosive pieces on every level. I like the OVER in this game... |

#19 Posted: 1/19/2008 10:07:26 AM say all you want about games going over but below zero wind chills will keep both offenses in check and let the defenses control the game.

#20 Posted: 1/19/2008 10:33:02 AM if you stated that ne will score 31 and gb 27 and then say that the defences will keep the offence in check....i'm a little confused. plus the total for gb/ny is 40....

#22 Posted: 1/20/2008 1:11:27 AM Pats will win and cover. My Jags handled SD, and we could not stop the Pats. I like Pats, over, and first half Pats in this one. |

#24 Posted: 1/20/2008 1:57:22 AM Steett I am definately confused as to why you would start a post stating the exact opposite of what you actually picked in the league contest? You Posted Pats 31/ SD 0 and GB 27/ NYG 13, yet you took both SD and NYG. What gives? |

#25 Posted: 1/20/2008 7:46:22 AM Under G.B.,only because of weather,I'm in Chicago, and it's freezing here,20 below wind chill, both passing games will be slowed down don't see alot of big plays mostly running and short passes, eating up the clock.Only way it goes "over"is turnovers for easy points.I'm sure some of you people have'nt been in weather 20 below wind chill,it's numbing, passing and catching will definately be hampered.I think I heard somewhere that it should be the 3rd coldest football game ever played, behind Packers-Cowboys in the "Ice-Bowl".And S.D.-Cincy in the 80's,I think, both very low scoring games.Nothing works like it should in "20 Below".For all you people in warm weather states, that have never been in that kind of cold,in 5 minutes you can't even feel or bend your fingers, like you should. It will be like throwing and catching a 5 lb.. |
