Ive been betting for 6 years, and enjoyed every year of it. these past 2 weeks i went down hill, lost over 24k in ncaaf nfl. it hit me pretty bad..I just wanna tell bettors out there gamble for fun and dont gamble your life. dont bet stupid and dont try to chase your losings. thats what happend to me and i gotta pay the consequence....thx for reading my post, hope to get my life back on track

I told myself to stop betting football and i was able to stop it for only 2 weeks and started playing again. The next year which was last year, i lose almost another 30k over the season. I was lucky that i sold my home in time before the house market going down therefore i have some money to cover my stupid gamble habit. This year i be a little smarter not to chase the losings and play very small amount per play.

I agree with dysoy..gambling is for losers! No matter how much you win...you'll end of giving it all back and more! That's why I like this site...fun stuff...safe...but the only thing about it is that it promotes gambling! This is the only way though that this site could run! GL if you do gamble but I always say...just leave it alone! Its just not worth it!

yea there were moments where i wanted to give up too but now i m loving college football. My 2nd yr capping college but has been amazing!. money management is one of the keys. its boring but keeps u in the game. goodluck man!

Some people here laugh at my money management leveling strategy but trust me IT WORKS ! That is to increase wagers only after a win, beginning on week 3 ( after you see which teams are better than others)and culminating on the Superbowl. I only play 2 to 4 games per week.

I think every gambler has gone through their rough patch. I know I have. I lost 30k while I was a student and had to get bailed out by family and friends. It was not a good experience. Let it stick to you so that you can learn from your mistakes. Take some time off and reflect on never chasing your loses and betting what you are comfortable with. If you are like me, you would be back in the game down the road. Think of it as an investment which you have to take your lumps before it pays off. I have been gambling for 13+ years and I finally have broken through in the past couple. Hang in there! Remember, MONEY MANAGEMENT!!!

Always make your own decisions. Learn how to cap with small bets. Then increase as your bankroll and confidence goes up....Most of us have learned the hard way man....||clover.gif' border=0>

Keep ur head up. At least you realized what was happening. Take some time off. It will be tough to do. But make sure you do it. Like it was said, almost everybody here has taken a big hit. It's the risk of what we all do. Pay good attention to the cappers on this site. Most will give you really helpful advice. How many times have you sat at home and had absolutely no idea on a game but came on here, read a couple of posts and threw money on the game just for the hell of it because the game isnt as interesting without a bit of cash rollin.
Ill tell you what helped me out tremendously. A local bar holds an NFL pool. Five-Hundred dollars at the beginning of the year, usually around 40 people. You get a certain amount of units in the beginning of the year. Each week you risk however many units you chose, blah blah blah blah blah. You get the idea. My point is, you spend five hundred dollars for the whole year instead of maybe losing 500 a weekend, and you still get that competitive edge every week while watching the games. Believe me, very fun. Meeting at the bar with a bunch of your buddies and seeing your a couple of hundred units ahead of them and know you will never hear the end of it if you fall behind. Its a fun time, I really suggest you try it out.
