Covers-Team PM Covers-TeamJoined: Aug 2001Posts: 48028 Covers Referee #2Posted: 11/17/2012 3:09:31 PMHi roongog248, L average stands for league average. The yards figure is for yards gained. CT Covers-Team PM Covers-TeamJoined: Aug 2001Posts: 48028 Covers Referee #3Posted: 11/17/2012 3:10:46 PML Average represents "League Average".  Defensive Yards are yards allowed in all games this season. roondog248 PM roondog248Joined: Jul 2012Posts: 1219 Veteran #4Posted: 11/17/2012 6:47:23 PMA Defensive Stat shown represents what they allow on Average per game. is that correct? roondog248 PM roondog248Joined: Jul 2012Posts: 1219 Veteran #5Posted: 11/17/2012 7:18:28 PM                   SYRACUSE OFFENSE VS MISSOURI DEFENSE                      SYR      VS. These stats are not a prediction of anything.  They are simply comparison numbers.  It allows you to quickly look and see that neither team gains much or allows much on the ground. roondog248 PM roondog248Joined: Jul 2012Posts: 1219 Veteran #9Posted: 11/17/2012 8:25:57 PMRight, I understand that they are comarisons. Example.    KANSAS STATE @ BAYLorThere is a huge difference in numbers here. KANSAS STATE OFFENSE VS BAYLOR DEFENSE                   98.7BAYLOR OFFENSE VS KANSAS STATE DEFENSE    -213.9http://www.covers.com/pageloader/pageLoader.aspx?page=/data/ncf/matchups/g8_summary_111.htmlWhen a Diff number is in black, that means that the offense is likely to over power the defense?and when the Diff number is in negative RED, this means that the defense is likely to shutdown the offensive progress?are my assumptions correct? Offensive Yards gained = a positive or negative number
