My Boston(MLB) pick was rained out and it has been moved to Tuesday on my Ultimate race pending picks page. I SURE hope that I will still be able to make four picks for Tuesday, or that's going to make alot of players mad!

it looks like the game that got rained out will be one of your tuesday picks automatically. not a big deal. esp since you get to make another pick today instead of taking a loss. so lets not complain to much or they might just give us all a loss.

Hey wagerline,
Why is everyone else having their game showing up on Tuesday and getting another pick today but I can't? My Boston game is still listed as today showing postponed and I can't make a different pick but everyone did??????

Guys,

An error was made on our part when first dealing with the postponed Boston game.  To correct the issue and ensure the Ultimate Race rules were followed we had to make some adjustments.

Some users were initially permitted by the system to enter another pick for today after the Boston game was marked as postponed. This violated the Contest rules, specifically:

"In the event of a postponed, suspended, cancelled, or removal of a event for any reason (Rain Delay, Act of God, Death, Re-Schedule, etc) participants will not be able to submit an alternate pick for that day as a replacement."

Some users had their selection accidentally moved to Tuesday which was wrong.  This has been corrected as well, the game was moved back to today on their accounts and treated as a PPD game, and any extra pick they made after their initial 4 picks were voided. They will be able to make a regular 4 selections on Tuesday.

In closing, everything was worked out to ensure the contest proceeded under the official rules.

If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail us.

We apologize for the confusion.

Thanks,

Rizz

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! THE OFFICIAL RULES NEED TO BE CHANGED, AND IT'S NOT LIKE THIS HASN'T OCCURED IN THE PAST. HOW is it fair for all of the people who chose either Boston or Tampa Bay, to only have three pending picks now, while anyone who didn't make a selection on that game has four. THIS situation makes the playing field UNLEVEL !!!!........... Hoping the change will be made,so that it makes this game alot fairer.

Part of the strategy - it's called the "Ultimate Race".

Tip: Pick a game where rain isnt in the forecast.

GL the rest of the way.

THANKS for the advice Rizzo, I just didn't know I had to be a handicapper and a weatherman to win the race.lol  My question is, if what accidently occured today, clearing the games postponed and allowing another pick to be made, is POSSIBLE. Then why isn't it being implemented. Changing that rule, which I don't think is very fair, will make this game alot better.                                     P.S.WHAT does every think should happen when you unluckally pick a rainout, should you get another pick OR shouldn't you ?

you see its like picking cleveland, then finding out Lebron James isn't playing..........yes you should be informed about weather, just like if key players are playing...........weather is part of capping, do you not check the weather if you were to pick an O/U in a NFL game..................?????

Completely disagree...  At least cleveland is playing if you pick them and found out that Lebron is not, so still a chance to win, but the Boston/TB game is not playing at all.  I don't think you'd like it if you were in first place and that was the game that decided your loss because it was postponed.

Still boils down to doing a little Research. Not that hard to check weather forecast before a game.

I think that when you pick a game that gets rained out, you should get pwnd.

ok, i guess there are always two sides to a story but let me end on this. if you asked me to go in a game with you both dropping a G on the game and you said " all the stats are perfect for it" ....after the game i say we lost because it snowed 6" and we had the over. now your quote was "atleast they are still playing and have a chance"..............thats bad capping my friend, covers, the stat masters they are (they include too much bs stats) on the one page actually shows the weather for the game!!! well best of luck in the race hope we all make it to the top of the leaderboard, again!

Yo heyunlucky......SURE checking the weather is a part of hadicapping, but I'm pretty sure there was a college basketball game that was postponed due to weather roof damage, and might have happened during one of the Utimate Races. So tell me, when was the last time you checked the weather for a indoor game. If there is software that would allow you another pick in case of a postponment, WHY isn't it being used, it would be a much more level playing field as Nettie says, for all of us involved. IT'S plain and simple, if it has happened to you, you probably are for the change, and like they say change is good. If it hasn't happened to you, you don't care!

yes, although 50 years old you are a crafty one!!! however you pick four games.......its simple. some of us are glad you can't pick new games if there are ppd's, since i have a college degree i actually have to work and can't wait around all day. anyway best of luck in the race.

EAT your heart out, NOT all of us can be retired at such an early age, plus I may turn 50 next year, but I still look younger then you do.

see instead of focusing on PPD games you should be trying to get them to change the race to 150 games, this ones almost over and i don't think the next one starts till like august or something........

Yeah, that's the first thing I thought, when I started so poorly,why not 150. I guessed at pre-season baseball and got hammered in hockey..........MLB/NHL 28-35  NBA/NCAA 39-24                  Bring on race # 6

Bad capping is when you know it will snow and still take the game over.  You cannot bad capping when a game is postponed.  Was it bad capping for those who pick Anaheim on Thursday after the death of Nick Adenhart?  You can only bad capping when a game is played, not when it's not.
