I am sure no one wants to reveal the secrets for winning this thing, but anyone have a good approach? Should you always take 4 games a day and do the units matter? Thanks newsBoy

Although you aren't penalized for a loss, YOUR PERCENTAGE counts when you're tied. Someone may pick 1 a day and be correct on all-8/8=100%. You might have 8 Correct by getting 1 right out of 4/day= 8/32=25%. It's tempting at the start to pick 4 a day but as you get near the finish that percentage could do you in.... I would only take 4 IF you feel confident- not just because you can.... PS- There's about 3000 of us here who have no idea regarding the 'Secrets for winning' no matter how much we whoop and hollar. Know your sport-study the stats and make you best pick. Good Luck to you and the rest us...

Percentages aren't as important as when you pick the game though. For instance if you and I are tied at 149 and I pick a game that starts at 1:00 and you pick a game that starts at 3:00, if my game finishes first and I win the game, I would place ahead of you even if you picked 70% and i only picked 67%. I think that's the way it is. If I am mistaken then correct me please

I would say your right Van. Its all about getting to the finish line FIRST and not betting the maximum 4 games would be foolish in my opinion.Even if you loved 2 of the plays and flipped a coin on the other two you would have a huge advantage over someone just picking 2 games. I say if 4 plays are available you have to take them.

newsboy: You can probably see by now that while there's no stupid question, there is also no 'easy' one... At least not to a bunch of competitors. We each have our methods- take what you can use and forget the rest.

News Flash: Always take 4 games. Why wouldn't you? You want to win 150 the fastest way possible!

i agree with redsox and PSU. While it won't happen, a guy could pick 50% correct by hitting 2 of 4 per day and a guy could hit 100% by picking 1 of 1 a day. Guess who wins. Guy 1 as it would take him half the time to get to 150. Percentages basically mean nothing unless at the end, two people with 149 wins pick the exact same team in the exact same game. Then percentages matter. But trying to out percentage someone by picking less games would not be beneficial to getting to 150 wins the quickest. You MUST pick 4 a day. If you don't you throw yourself out of the competition.

Secret for the race! Stay in the top 100 for as long as you can, cause only there will you have a chance to win the game. Peak at the right time which is usually towards the last 50 wins of the game. Usually the person that leads the race for the most part doesnt win it. Its the guy whos in the top 25 that make the last push for the win. Well thats my tip take it or leave it.

Fun Stuff. Great Contest, even if I feel like I'm getting a bit lucky on the hockey, eh? I pay attention to the NHL(Go Wings!!) but I've never actually bet it. Still don't, just playing on here. I still stick to Football

Put all the team names on a piece of paper and put them in a hat. (Make sure it's a Dallas Cowboy hat) then draw one at a time. Once you have 4, then pick those and put them back in the hat until tomorrow. PS. Make sure you take the paper out before you wear the hat. Good Luck Everyone! See you at 150! Go Cowboys Go Mavs
