Does anyone run a good 13 run pool or anything like it during baseball season?

Okay so far 6 interested here. I would like to fill this up and then get it going without a last minute rush.

Also would like your input about the dollar amount and anything else you all have on your mind.

You will pick or be assigned teams..If they land on exactly 13 runs you win..The rules can vary on how many teams can win..It can be first team to land on 13 wins entire pot or a percentage throught the yr

Still need more interest. I could get enough players with people I know, but would really prefer to keep it between covers members.

Again, anyone think of a price range. I would like to know where you all want to be.  Thanks.

topperchris, I did go to WKU and now live in Owensboro.  Graduated with a degree in economics and work as a loan officer now.  WKU I thought would be a borderline top 25 team this year, only losing Mendez-Valdez.

so if there's 30 people, do we each pick 1 team and we have that team all season or we pick different teams every day?

who would hold on to the money?

I'd be in for 50-100.  Somebody that's been around for a while should hold the money.

Wallstreetcappers is terrible at his job, He picks and chooses which members he wants to enforce rules on while letting others slide for the exact same thing. No offense intended to anyone in this thread, just stating a fact.

topperchris, I was there from 00-05.  I knew some guys from your Fraternity and hung out with them quite a bit.  Fun times I had there.  I follow the team a lot and yes we were wrong.  Who knows maybe they'll win the SB tourny and win a game or two in the NCAA.  I assume based on where you live you're a Reds fan?  I think they can win the Central this year but I said that the last 2 years too.

Just throwing out a couple of ideas. We make it $100 total. $50 before the season and $50 at the all star break. I will draw teams assigned to each person or 2 teams if not enough players. I will be done randomly out of a hat or box.

I can collect and hold the money or talk to Scotty at Betjam about collecting and holding it via deposits. I think they may be willing to add something to our pool as well. The only drawback to that would be ant winnings will need to be deposited to the winners Betjam account.

I think at the All Star break teams should be re-drawn randomly again so those that believe they don't have a good offensive team (but you would be surprised) will have a shot at a different team.

At the A.S. break we take the money in the pool and split it among every player having a team that scored 13 runs exactly in a game the first half of the season. If no team scored 13 it rolls over to the 2nd half along with the $50 per for the 2nd half. If nobody wins in the 2nd half, everyone receives a refund of their entry fee.

I have a few in bag new football jerseys of A Peterson Pro bowl, Brett Favre Packers and a few more and I would be willing to add them and see if we can get anything else added to pay out as a bonus if a team scores a different total such as 11, 17, 21. Along those lines.

Tell me what you think and who is interested please.
