Thought this thread died - but just getting caught up on the last month or so. I see the disaster continues, and is on life support.
As for the bet I made - it is a bet between friends. I bet this guy all the time. Since this bet we have probably made 20 bets, including betting on things like who would come in last in the Belmont to who will win the CBS show Big Brother. So needless to say - we would have worked it out - but my guess is that since we cant really track CG anymore in a reliable way - that we would have had to have scrapped the bet. But there would have been some intense negotiating.
Its a little bit sad that someone with the life experience of Goose is still cheering this disaster forward. Even seemingly condoning the use of CGs 401k (which is maybe the dumbest decision he has made in his life, which should tell you something).
4k left? Jeesh. That's about 1 months expenses. Just this week he had a do or die wager, and I am sure that is coming again. Cant go all in over and over without getting called one day.

Where I live, hitting 55-58% is always going to be plus money.
I still think CG has a reasonable opportunity to make it through baseball. I (for two) would like to see a comeback, although I think Van's behind is too hemorrhoidal to shove anything up it.
It is somewhat surprising that he has a friend (to bet with) , but not at all surprising that he watches Big Brother.

Yes---the thread was titled wrong. Should have read 'Professional Gambler' not 'Professional Handicapper'.
