$12,500 guaranteed

I recommend you the same. Hedge your pick, bet 10.000$ on the other odd. Good luck!

first congrats on #20 and good luck with your next pick

as for hedging, i have a different take. i chose not to hedge and haven't given it a second thought, but that was a personal decision. i basically used two questions that helped me be satisfied with my decision:

is there some circumstance in your life where you absolutely need 10-13K (could guarantee yourself a little over 13K with baseball by taking a favorite on covers and betting on a dog. optimized numbers based on odds for the game)?

in the long run, which would cause you more agony, winning your pick and missing out on money or or losing your pick and not winning any money?

it is an individual choice. i know i would have been much more upset with winning my pick and having to pay off my hedge than i ended up being by not winning. i am not everyone though why i am not suggesting either to you.

I completely agree with Whitesmith. This whole hedging talk is so overblown. I have described in detail in the past the problems with hedging. It's a logistical nightmare. I'm not going to go into all of it but think about this. There is $3000 limit on most internet sportsbook then you have to find one thats trustworthy besides your regular book. That more than likely means going to Vegas. We haven't even talked how you would procure the money. This is just a sample of the issues hedging brings. I say screw the hedge and go for all the money. If you lose you haven't risked a penny. If you win you get it all without the headaches.

When I had my streak  I did not hedge. I agree totally with thewhitesmith and smoothd20.  At the time I was called a fool amongst a few other things. Folks could not believe that I did not bet the other side. That being said..... best of luck  with whatever you decide to do.

Don't hedge... are you fools kidding me?  REALLY don't hedge?

You would be a complete idiot not to hedge...

All that online book limit crap talk... find a book this... do that... are you guys gamblers or fools?

Only a fool would not hedge ... for some amount... something.

MAKE SURE YOU COME OUT OF THIS WITH MORE MONEY... not hedging, even if it's for a dime or two... is as dumb as it gets.

The only question he should have is NOT IF he should hedge... it's how much he should hedge.

Don't hedge

I agree with trotter64.  You should definitely hedge.  You don't have to go wild, just something that you feel comfortable with so that you win something regardless of the outcome.  Maybe put in the $1,000 that you get for getting 17.

If it were me, I would hedge at LEAST $3000.  Get the money from someone.  It is a win/win situation for you.  Please make the smart decision, the only decision.

if you're on philly -3.5 goin for 25 grand on streak survivor you bet a certain amount st louis +3.5 at another book (or with the line not being steady you could possibly even find it at +4.5, in which case you have a chance to scoop both bets).

good luck mc2010 love the birds to win this game, just a matter of how much now. would love to see desean and maclin dancing all afternoon in the endzone
