Sorry about that Godsplay but it was a good game. I was pulling hard for Seattle for selfish reasons...my parlay and the fact I'm in Portland. Northwest fans are completely off the hook. A Seattle-S.F. NFC Championship would have been awesome. That's going to be a great rivalry for years to come with both those young QB's. |

With those defenses they will be hell to deal with. |

#11005 Posted: 1/16/2013 4:29:14 PM A lot of the strategy is mixing it up. First of all, reseach on games only increases your chances. Second, you should scout the whole week before you waste it on a shitty pick. Gut feeling picks will help you out once in a while, but wouldn't rely on that too much. And last, you need a lot of luck to keep a hot streak going. My record is not too great, but I will get back to .500 or better. I have my hat! I'm out for the $ prize next. |

#11008 Posted: 1/17/2013 12:12:23 PM MONEY ALERT MONEY ALERT MONEY ALERT!
The Milwaukee Bucks haven't won in Phoenix since 1987. That's not a misprint. Ronald Reagan was President the last time the Milwaukee won in Phoenix. I see no reason why that's going to change anytime soon. Take the Suns for the money and cash in big time! You guys can thank me later! |

#11011 Posted: 1/19/2013 12:58:46 AM I actually was on the other side of that game. Took Indiana. Never seems to fail with the guys that wait till the last day to pick. Their choices are so limited that they lock themselves into these bad picks. When i get to 17 I promise you I wont wait till day 7 to pick. Day 4 at the latest.
He had a good run though and he does get $1000. Great job! |

He had a good run though and he does get $1000. Great job! If you remember last year, I didn't wait at all during my streak. I think waiting too long, gets you bad choices. I'll try for 18 again. |

#11015 Posted: 1/20/2013 12:01:17 PM Congrats phillybenz on the 17......1/131,072. I was pulling for you. I also was getting a little concerned about the amount of time between picks 17 and 18...I'm sure you had your reasons...I'm not going to question a guy who hits 17 in a row. Start a new one, I think you demonstrated a patience that is not the forte of most gamblers. BOL |

Don't get me wrong. We were all rooting for him. My observation though is that far too many players wait too long and then they limit their choices. If you wait till the last day your odds have to be lower because the SM isn't going to make it easier for you. |

#11022 Posted: 1/21/2013 3:25:02 PM It's the equinox today----really new start, so let's start helping each other more, like earlier posts---remember one of Parmy Charm's about O/U 5 in hockey and one of bama's about starting pitchers. I will try to post any hockey from this area--- watch out for the Jets --- pass on them until a few more games---think they will do well or stink but no medium --- same for the Oilers who might be a tad overvalued . Sports Illustrated had them 3d power rank. Flames are likely to fizzle and the 'Nucks have chemistry problems stemming from goaltender controversy. Advise to watch games before any picks --fantasy or otherwise |
