#9101 Posted: 5/30/2012 1:26:44 PM Oops I shouldn't have rode Konerko yesterday. He had an 0fer. I was hesitant about that but I forgot to change it and I just checked it to see where my streak was. Oh well I start over today. Nobody has been talking about BTS on this thread so I guess that means no one has had any good streaks. Quad was on fire last year in BTS. He had 2 long streaks if I recall correctly. |

CINN -117
The stat that stands out to me is "Reds 12-3 in Cueto last 12 starts vs. Pirates"

yes. so it takes time to build a decent reading on a game. keep in mind...teams like Padres and Cubs have double digit losses in any game series.

this whole May has been crazy for me on picks for the streak and monthly. It all comes to showdown tomorrow for the lead.. thats all I'm asking for is a chance.
for a Dodger fan... you took the Giants a lot this month in the streak survivor this month.

#9114 Posted: 5/30/2012 7:18:23 PM As Summer is fast approaching the Streaks are starting to heat up. We have several members with nice streaks going. If you take a look at the leaderboard on Survivor there is 8 people there who have had streaks of 13 or more moving up the charts. It's a convention on that board of Wise Guys making their move. BigfnPoo continues to lead the way as he makes his way to Thousand Dollar City! |

@crushalot22 I thought you didn't want to pick the Dodgers in fear of jinxing them. hmmm... I shouldn't talk... I pick the Giants 2x compared to Dodgers 4x this month. |

#9116 Posted: 5/30/2012 7:43:37 PM My last 50 Survivor picks - Dodgers 10 picks to Giants 5 picks.
The majority of my picks come from the National League just for the fact I follow it more than any other. So you will see the Giants again. Now that Kemp is back, amongst others on their way, you will be seeing more Dodger Blue, especially when they play the Giants. |

#9120 Posted: 5/30/2012 8:12:23 PM Now see here's where it gets weird for me. I don't like betting on my favorite teams but I will do it sometimes but I will never bet against them. NEVER! I will bet on the Red Sox if I feel like it has value but when it gets to crunch time that stops. In Fantasy I will sit players most of the time when they play my favorite team not always but most of the time. I just can't deal with those conflicted feelings especially in Fantasy Football where every game counts. I would rather lose in Fantasy then to see my team go down. I know that's weird and I know I'm in a very small minority. Fantasy sports has changed the fan landscape no doubt. Somebody on ESPN wrote a great article about this last year l believe. But don't get me wrong I love making money more than anyone. I guess you can say I live by the "honor among thieves" credo. It's complicated I know and we have only had a few years to deal with this phenomena as Fantasy sports has exploded since 2006. But nevertheless it's here to stay. |

#9122 Posted: 5/30/2012 8:22:30 PM Yes, Smooth. That is a whole different story. That's why I was so torn going for a win 10 with Arizona knowing they would whoop the Dodgers that night when they sat everyone. I stayed away.
Now I will say this about Fantasy, and tell me if anyone does this. Since I joined this year I find myself putting money on teams That my starting pitcher is in....... Hasn't worked to well!
