Alright now so I put $22 on Utah and and went $33 on my Lakers-Portland going over so right now I'm chasing. This isn't good but like I said I'm playing with house money so WTF! I'm out of control and have had a few beers and I'm just getting started.  These are the kind of nights I would find myself in trouble in Vegas. It's a good thing I'm  900 miles away tonight.

Good luck to all that took the dogs tonight!  Just don't let them win straight up 'cause I have a fat 4 team favorite moneyline parlay.......  North Carolina tried to ruin it,  but I'm still ridin'

This is not always possible in moneyline sports due to the premium, but it can be especially effective in spread based sports like basketball and football. Like you, I also have a tendency to overlook the best matchups when I have a nice streak going. It is as if I  look the gift horse in the mouth and find things not to like about the very best picks on the board, often forsaking them for some obscure, overthought, "overlooked gem" that winds up losing. I can only imagine the pressure Crush and theWhitesmith must have faced every day when they were on the hotseat; not to mention the extra pressure from the haters that always seem to come out of the woodwork whenever someone has an exceptional run.
I really enjoyed Crushalot's perspective on this topic. He has confirmed that it is difficult to narrow your selection when you are looking down the crosshairs at the prize. I can almost hear the agony in his voice as he reminisces about that fun and trying time; and also how he still remembers clearly the minute details of every single at bat. The thing I take from this is what I agree with the most: that we should pick what we want based on our feelings rather than on what some statistical factors are telling us. If and when we lose a pick that we made with our hunches, it is far more easy to  accept that loss than when we just throw something together because the stats tell us it is wise. There are other factors at work that our minds calculate for us in the background without us even knowing it. Things like revenge, emotion, and the streakiness of the teams involved, for instance.

I will stop here because carpal tunnel syndrome is setting in.It's a great topic, though.
Good luck on your streaks!

You hit the nail on the head,  Bama!!!!

After doing some quality research, I finally settled on the Utah Jazz -1.5. I feel that this line offers tremendous value for the streaking home Jazz here against Denver who will be without Gallinari and Fernandez with Miller also npt one hundred percent. Utah won the last meeting earlier this season at Denver by 10 after losing the other meeting, also in Denver. Utah, meanwhile, is looking for their sixth win in a row and seventh straight home win.

                               UTAH JAZZ -1.5
Honestly Bama I didn't see it. This is such a busy time of year for me with Birthdays, Anniversary, March Madness and of course baseball I really haven't paid much attention on SFTC. But of course I had my own 8 game losing streak there so it's rough for everybody. You notice the leader board is wiped out. At any rate I'm getting ready for my baseball drafts this weekend. We got to get you in one of these fantasy leagues Bama. After baseball comes football so keep in mind.

How is everyone??  I'm back at home for good now. I imagine no-one pays much attention to the Covers pre-season MLB pool but I lucked my way into 5th for a couple of days now. Problem is I can't get much info about SPs,who is on 1st etc., until it is too late to pick. If anyone can help me with anything before starting times the 24th, it would be much appreciated. Due to my geographic location, it is hard for me to even access ESPN or even TSN at times. I didn't bet today 'cause of this matter. SO, I'm appealing to the five dimes for      to all.

PS. would have loved getting to Vegas but denied access to USA 'cause I smoked pot once or a few times with the wrong people so sayeth the RCMP anyway; I deny it

Talking about being bailed out! I come back and still make a $50 dollar profit after it's all said and done. Thank you Lakers-Portland over, Jazz thanks Bama for that tip and thank you NC state for covering. I did the right thing by leaving Indiana alone. I'm still riding boys!

Hey T99,  You can get great info at MLB.com.  Probable starting pitchers,  locations of the games,  rotation,  etc.

Tigers are looking pretty scary. They may give my Yanks a run for the money but I think we have the best pitching in the AL this year and with Petitte deciding to go one more year I'm truly thinking about #28 this year.

Well  thanx again : that info helped. Went 3-1-1 today & may bet yhe KC game late. I will get back later as hockey has started & I'm only 32 pts behind the leader in the CBC pool for a car---no seconds though in that pool & won a weekly autographed jersey once already. one car again for play-offs though.

Long live Five Dimes Club eh! ! !

Going for W4 with Over 202 OKC/HEAT. OKC allows 103ppg lately and Heat due to hit the 100 pt mark after scoring only 100+ twice in last 10 games. Heat are goona have to score tonite to win.

I have to vent.  I try to stay away from the NBA.  I just don't follow it enough.  And when I do,  I swear,  the opposite team will win no matter the line!  I just thought the Lakers at home would handle their business against a slumping Memphis team on the road.  I've been getting spoiled this NCAA tourney taking some moneyline favorites and parlaying them,  hitting at a good rate.  So with minimal action today in college,  I threw the Lakers moneyline on there as the final leg of a 4 teamer.  Talk about getting  out hustled!   I feel like I got hustled.  They should refund everyone that paid to watch that game with that effort.  WEAK!!!!!

My fault for throwing that on there anyway.  Had Kansas,  Utah st.,  San Antonio,  and the Fakers.

I know.....     Greedy       parlays     Lazy Lakers  Trade Josh Johnson
