It is my goal to make this the "MOST VIEWED" forum on this site. I know we are competing against ourselves and each other for prizes and money, but I think it would be nice to give support and encouragement to those going for the BIG prizes, and to those who had a good streak broken. So, what's a guy/gal to do? Has anyone ever figured out a winning % for MLB Home teams? (Favorite or not). Too often I've taken the "favored" visiting team and POW!! The loss happens. I don't think enough respect is given to home field advantage. Just a thought. Best of luck to all.

I guess I'll bite on a post here (Even though you're a Flyers fan)

I posted something awhile back that you may be able to scroll down a bit and peek at but it was basically about ESPN's preview page on the MLB games with the Accuscore predictions. I said on there I would try to start figuring out the %'s but to be honest haven't had the time.  Just off the top of my head it seems that the prediction is right more than wrong but prob not by much.

Just yesterday favored home teams were   2-5
                   underdog home teams were   10-9

      8/28/10     favored home teams were    3-1
                   underdog home teams were    7-7

      8/27/10     favored home teams were    0-1
                   underdog home teams were   3-1

Thanks for the homework mike. Oh.. and thanks for game 82 of the NHL regular season last year! I think you showed my point that there is a "Home Field" advantage. Also, good luck to both sweatzer, picked a favored, visitor, and shortzee, picked a home underdog. Tonight will determine my future strategy. This is getting exciting.

I think if AZ beats SD, I remain in first place and win the $1000. I have no idea why I'm listed in first place now. "ohtogo" has the same record with 2 ties. Isn't that a better record?

Keep me posted. I'm curious how this will play out. Right now, a 22-7 record, and a 22-7-2 record both equal 75.86%, as far as Covers is concerned. I hope a fair decision is made for all involved. Good luck.

So........ Should a guy place a pick on NCAAF after a night of cheap beer and wings? Or should common sense take over and say "Pick The Twins" instead in the morning?  Stay tuned, I took Middle Tenn.(?) to beat the spread over the other Minny team. I don't even know what NCAFF stands for.  I love this game!!

  Tough luck man, but Twins took a loss also last night. Favorites quite often disappoint, glad I took the over though. Lots of scoring in that game.

Don't like too much for today, going with instinct and taking the Nats over the Pirates.
