#1 Posted: 12/3/2005 4:33:33 PM this is so rediculous. Why isn't the USC/UCLA game on the survivor board ? I have a 4 game streak but i dont think im going to waste my time on here anymore.
Only 2 NCAA FB games on the board. No USC/UCLA game, and no ACC championship game. Why even waste our time with this silly game if you arent going to post EVERY game that has a line ? Why not just post one game for us to pick from ? |

#2 Posted: 12/3/2005 4:48:08 PM Here is a line from the rules as posted on the survivor page.
Games with lines or point spreads (football and basketball) are nearly always available for selection.
Nearly means: Almost but not quite
Always: At all times
As of this time (4:00pm est) there are 7 NCAA football games that have a line left and "survivor" has only 2 listed and only 1 over/under.
If you consider 2 out of 7 "almost always" you need to get a grasp of the english language. 2 out of 7 is about 30% (and that is not including the over/under which would reduce the total of NCAA FB picks available to about 20%)
This game used to fun but it is very frustrating to want to pick winner and not have that game available to you. Especially when it involves 2 teams ranked in the top 15.

They say: "Games with lines or point spreads (football and basketball) are nearly always available for selection"

#10 Posted: 12/19/2005 12:21:59 PM it's not on the board because it's beyond 7 days of the current date (game is Dec 30th)
The way Survivor works is you have 7 days to make a pick if you have a streak. If we made this game available now - and someone made a pick on it - their streak would eventually expire on them as they would not get a completed pick in within the 7 day rule. That wouldnt be fair would it?
The game will be avaiable in Survivor when we reach 7 days prior to game date.
Understand?

#11 Posted: 12/21/2005 9:35:03 AM That's actually not how the software grades it, Rizzo.
You really should clarify this 7-day rule. Do you have to pick a game that will be played within 7 days of your last pick's game or do you just have to make a pick within that 7 days? The software appears to grade it as latter, but the rules aren't clear on this. The statements within it actually contract each other:
If you fail to make a pick in 7 days, your score is reset to 0. For instance, if you win a game played on Wednesday, you must pick another game played on or before the following Wednesday.
