North Carolina at Virginia Tech (10/29/2009)

Look at VaTech schedule thusfar....have played really only 2 quality teams and lost them both...Bama and GaTech....Their best win against a suspect Miami in driving rainstorm ....beat a mediocre Nebraska by a point and barely beat Duke by 8 miserably failing to cover the 17....

So let's be generous and say the Miami win was a quality win....that's it for the Hokies....

I'll absolutely jump on UNC +16 here.....No doubt about it....I'm not sure the Hokies ever even lead by16 in this game.....

Liking UNC in the first half.  They will keep it close at first, but Va tech will wear them down. Might be a lot like UNC's last game;

Tough one to call with 2 great defenses. I'm not sure if UNC's offense is for real after a great showing against FSU. They are ranked almost last on offense in the country.

Just going with the trend here with V-Tech 14-3 ats on Thurs night and thinking the better balanced offense of V-Tech can pull this one through.

I want V-Tech to take it up early.....

I am with BigD on this one.  North Carolina is really bad away from home.  The two games that they were on the road they did not score a single point against their opponent.  Which was against Uconn and Georgia Tech.  They were even shut out in the 1H against Virginia at home.  So North Carolina is avg 0 points in the 1H. 

5 UNITS on V-Tech 1H -10

3 UNITS on the Unda 43

Simply look at the schedules,.  This North Carolina team simply hasn't faced this caliber of competition.  Period.  They sure as hell haven't faced a defense like this... and with a suspect and shaky OL and inexperienced receivers... good luck.

Hokies will serve up a well balanced offense tonight against a stout Carolina "D"... but, with the encouragement of a raucous and boisterous home crowd... and for those of you who poo poo the idea of a big-time home field advantage... you ain't never been to Blacksburg.

Virginia Tech, coming off a tough loss on the road in  Atlanta... with rest... at home... under the lights... with the national TV spotlight.
