That's a great lineup. Too bad that isn't what the Red Sox lineup will look like. No chance in hell they unload their entire farm system to get Doc, Gonzo AND Reyes. Maybe they get Bay/Holliday and one of the others but not all 4. You have to be out of your mind if you think that's happening.

Matsui will be a free agent?  No problem, more spending money for the Yankees $$$

And the Sox aren't going to get Holliday. He wants to go to New York so he'll probably be a Met next season as they need someone to fill the void that Delgado took up.

I don't see him resigning. Cashman kinda hinted it on Mike Francesa today. He said we can't let big performances in a playoff series change our minds. He also said he's looking to get younger. He never said he wouldn't, but he certainly hinted against it. And I agree...he'll go to Seattle while Griffey goes somewhere else.

He'll retire as a Yankee without a doubt. The Yankees are going to resign him IF he wants to come back. It's either the Yankees or nowhere. I would personally like to see him retire on top. He said he had nothing after Game 3 and he said he had nothing after Game 4. He's done so much more than asked for this season and he should go out on a high note.
