Guys, its simple.
 
BYU in MWC beat UCLA in Pac 10
 
Air Force beat BYU, and Cal lost to UCLA. MWC is 4-0 in bowl games, PAC 10 is 1-2. leaning hard on AF

Hawkeyefan - Air Force was slaughtered by BYU 31-6, BYU beats UCLA - Cal, same situation as last year (limped into bowl) when they dominated Texas A&M, it's simple take Cal

AirForce can't lose in the Armed Forces Bowl...that would just be wrong.......Falcons take a sorry Cal team to the woodshed ahhahahahaha

Interesting that most people here are on AF, yet 60% of the public is on Cal.

How the hell did Cal's stock drop so far this year?  To go from # 2 to 6-6 is a huge implosion. 

I am also leaning toward AF but wonder what I may be missing... you would think Cal has better athletes and with time to rest may be sharp tomorrow.

Togh game. AK gives up twice any many yards vs the pass ( 2700 ) than they do the run ( 1500 ). If Cal gets the lead early, it could be a long day for the AF. I'm looking at the over maybe being the play hear. More info would be great.

Tough Call.  The only thing keeping the Mountain West from going 5-0 SU  is Air Force. Go figure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

damn boyz Air Force looks like the only team that really cares. I screwed up and went against Navy and those men proved that motivation overcomes talent. I'm going with the team that wants to chew nails on every play. Cal quit 2 months ago anyway.Really like AF/Georgia parlay!

Last seven games played (both teams):
 
Air Force 7-0 vs. the spread
CAL 0-7 vs. the spread.
Air force is the play CAL are 2-12 ATS in their last 14 games on grass. Cal's high watermark was the Oregon game since then they have  not come to play  Any one have a stat on the 6-6 teams in the bowls.  My own prejudice is to bet against .500 teams in the bowls.

I really like the OVERS in this game... AF has the 2nd rush Offense against the 60+ rush D... Cal can throw the ball a little and i dont kno if AF can keep out with speed on CAL. im thinking of throwing in a 500T over 49 CAL and SFLOR at a pk... anyone got any ideasss

Ok, I'm not 100% sure if my decision right now for this game is b/c of the Ala-Col game or not. But here's another team in Cal, losing 6 of 7 against what seems to be a superior AF team, yet Vegas installs Cal as a 3.5 pt favorite in the game, almost begging you to take AF.
 
More and more I look at this game, I can't really see a statistical argument for going with Cal though b/c their run defense is shaky, AF's running game is superior but for me, when I watched the UCLA-BYU game (another game where u thought it was easy), but what I've noticed is that Pac-10 teams are flat out faster than MWC players, position by position. As we all know speed kills in College Football b/c mistakes are more prone to occurring and one miss tackle and boom....TD
 
I probably will make only a small play here but I'm gonna lean a little towards Cal in hoping that they can make enough explosive plays to score quickly on AF, while AF must grind the ball down the field.....

Overall, Cal is 14-3 ATS as chalk of 3.5 to 10 points under Jeff Tedford, winning by 24.4 points per game.

Matching up physically and athletically for Air Force against Cal IMHO will be challenging for this Air Force team.

Preparing for an option offense is always hard and it becomes even harder in a Bowl game. Cal has had pretty much all of December to get ready for Air Force but there is a very big difference between practicing with your own teammates and playing against the real speed of this Air Force team.

Still undecided on this one. I like the over at 54 but not sure if both these teams will come out flat and stay flat. Looking to also to take Cal at the half -2.5 but still undecided on that as well.


I'll be back if I decide to play but if I don't then..........

I just rememberd talking about them beating someone in the MWC and just assumed it was BYU. I now remember that it was Utah. That was not my serious reasoning for it anyway. Still leaning on AF

Cal is the better team.  Don't look at the records.  Look at who they've been playing.  Cal by more than a td

Bigdaddy I agree with you 100%.  Think you make a good point as in your other posts that the team that has more of a running game typically has more success after a long break.

As of now being drunk at midnight and my wife telling me to come to bed I like the falcons.

Going to try to analyze a bit more tomorrow morning as I am off from work and the wife must go in....

Guys, just letting you know. I'm not sure I'll be up by kickoff for this game. I am a SICK dog. I gotta get my rest for a great night of New Years Eve. If you don't assume i took AF, but i most likely will be up in time. BOL to everyone and have a great New Year.

Damn, another tricky line, but I like Cal at the half and the game for a SMALL play. Kentucky-1(got it the day it opened up) and Auburn SU are my two big plays tommorrow. Huge as a matter of fact. .GL guys

Due to a violation of team rules Cal wide receiver DeSean Jackson will not start the Armed Forces Bowl against Air Force.
