The results of the appeal hearing were as follows:

-- Rescinding the loss of 25 Sprint Cup Series championship car owner points (for ).

-- Rescinding the loss of 25 Sprint Cup Series championship driver points (for ).

-- Rescinding the six Sprint Cup Series championship events suspension for the crew chief (Chad Knaus) and car chief (Ron Malec), however both will remain on NASCAR probation until May 9.

-- $100,000 fine remains in place for the crew chief (Chad Knaus).

Not a joke. The violation was so minor it was the penalty that was the joke. I'm no 48 lover but Justice has been served.

You think? for last 3 week Nascar Radio on Sirius was ripping Chad and Jimmie for it. Hammering him at all costs

Chocolate Myers will have to eat crow. He's been bashing for 3 weeks. The points penalty was lifted and unjustified. If you listen at Pop H's case its a damn good one. No doubt in my mind the 48 got a raw deal.

Nobody pushes the envelope like Chad. That's for damn sure.  I really believe they will drop the hammer in a big way with the slightest issue next time.  His grey area is going to be alot smaller than most guys.
