#1 Posted: 10/6/2011 10:18:25 PM Opened at +2 and now +4... not sure what games the bookies are watching and usually a home court provides -3 to the spread.
2 units on Lynx/ML for the sweep. I think this game'll be close, which means fouling, which means free throws, which means advantage Lynx.

#3 Posted: 10/7/2011 3:45:39 AM She will definitely be not 100%. There's no sense of urgency on MIN's part as they have atleast 3 games to finish this one off with a homecourt advantage in case of a game 5. De Souza would dominate the paint in this game and unless MIN shoots the ball pretty well from the outside, ATL would force a game 4.

Issiah Thomas wasn't a 100% against the Lakers, Kobe wasn't 100% against the Celtics. One player not 100%, I don't care who you are, won't destroy the entire team.
The Lynx are playing hungry, they have a lot of players contributing everywhere especially on the boards and scoring points. If the game is close, which most people here would agree it will be, I think the Lynx adrenaline and the pressure of losing for Atlanta will be the xfactors for each team.
Lynx moneyline is a pretty good value imo, especially since the game will be close.

#6 Posted: 10/7/2011 12:35:14 PM It's +200 already.
I'm torn between taking Atlanta first half and Minnesota game. It's hard to see Atlanta actually having the edge late in a game against a team as organized as the Lynx. Too much one on one. Not enough offensive execution.
I wouldn't be surprised one bit if there is a lot of home cooking to ensure this series goes at least 4 games. Most likely, it will happen in the first half, otherwise it's going to be too obvious what mr. stern and the league are up to.
But late in a game, with adequate refereeing, it's oh-so-hard to bet against the Lynx. Especially with what they've done to Atlanta in all four games this year. I mean, 3rd and 4th quarter point differential:
12 -1 (won by 11) in Min 11 -8 (won by 13) in Atl 3 11 (won by 14) game 1 3 14 (won by 6) game 2
The Lynx won every third quarter these two teams played, and two of four fourth quarters (notice they didn't win the fourth quarters only during RS games, when they 'didn't need to win' them to secure a W) |

#8 Posted: 10/7/2011 7:24:14 PM Muggs,I enjoy ur postings. Why not take atl 1tst half with the possibility of hammering minny 2nd half if situation allows.

#9 Posted: 10/7/2011 9:54:53 PM Just got in to find the lynx up. Supercool. I see the Dream are at 6 fouls in the half with lots of game time. I'm still glad I put 2 units on Lynx PS at +5 to cover my 2 units on ML but I'm hoping Lynx hold on for the win.

#10 Posted: 10/8/2011 12:52:03 PM I swept this game. Under 81 points for Minny, Atlanta first half, Minnesota third quater.
Unfortunately we couldn't hold on. Meadors has a long post season ahead of her if she's serious about turning this bunch of athletic freaks into a monster of A TEAM. |
