I am saying the pain is more often borne by the worker..which is a monsterous flaw in Capitalism.

So has the salaries, benefits, stock holdings of the upper level management in Corporate America dropped to the degree of the middle class average worker?

The reality is that corporate profits are at near all time high levels BECAUSE of shifting labor to low cost centers..we as a society should not reward or tolerate such.

Profit margins are not the end goal of our society, yet we legislate, regulate, reward as if the only group that matters are the shareholders and upper management.

Its truly pathetic..

who are these straw men that would die to stand around in a factory watching a machine run the line all day, every day, forever?

Americans aspire to this? You will never catch me standing around pouting about someone shipping my job off to a foreign country. Or a machine stealing my work.

Nobody wants to work. So for those of you crying about the lost jobs, you're telling me if only nike would move a shoe factory here to the states, you'd work 3rd shift every day the rest of your lives staring at the automated line while it does the work for you?

The problem isn't that the corportations screwed us by shipping our jobs over seas. The problem is the American whiner is at competition with some mongrol in china or automated technology Really how stupid are we, shouldn't we be celebrating for no longer having to do this kind of work?

There is a class of workers who like to do tough, dirty, gritty, hard work..

Many people want to put in a fair days work for fair pay with benefits and the understanding that their job is secure and they can have a decent house, retire down the road.

The turnover and job loss we have now in our blissful Capitalism is nauseating to say the least.

those jobs aren't what is outsourced. We lost the manufacturing line, and likely we lost as much due to technological advances and improvements in productivity then we did to the evil corporate boogey man that shipped the plant to china.

i'm calling bullshit on this argument. Not a one of the people that post on the internet about politics is longing for a lifetime of staring at a machine while it does the work for you.

show me your make believe worker displaced by a chinamen. This is 2012, in America, these people don't exist. Y'all are just afraid of idle hands. Just keep putting those people in prison, or you can complain that we should move the factories back to the homeland (but NIMBYA) and give them these mundane tasks to occupy all their time, and then they;ll behave. Put um to work, that'll teach um!!

I do tough, dirty, gritty, back breaking work for a living. You are right, those of us that do that live and breath it, and we aren't sitting around on are hands barking at the moon that theose person corporations owe me my place! In the system of systems, i want to stand around a factory for 40% of my life, staring at a machine while it does the work.

I mean, so long as it pays 20$ per hour, double time on weekends, full health, retirement package, six weeks vacation, four personal days, two sick days, a break every two hours, and i can show up late eleven times a year at a half a point and you can't fire me. You person! you'd do anything for a dollar.

Beeasy, friggin cracks me.a million roller.

you are so clueless kid, nothing can help you.  Keep living in your land tax dream world.

All kidding a side, you would be better off moving to another country, because how you want this country to be, will never be that way.  So might as well just pack up and move to somewhere that doesnt have things like jails and where you can freely grow and smoke on the street.

I thought you flipped pizzas and burgers, since when did that become tough back breaking work?  you making pizzas for king kong?

No matter what job you work, you would think that you would want to earn more money at that job. I guess you like be rolled over on

You guys know what the funniest thing is?  while guys like us sit around fighting with each other, the politicians and corporations are laughing all the way to the bank.

Forgot about all this republican-democrat bullshit, we should all be untied as one,so that we can take back our country from the people who are really destroying it  Someday we are all gonna realize that, but am sure it will be to late for anything to be done about it.

I have said it many times, i feel bad for all you guys who have kids and what their future in this country will be like. I see kids in the future having to work 3 and 4 service type jobs just to take of their families and that is truly sad, no matter what party you belong to

Cd329......... I have 2 1/2 jobs now to help pay for these public union workers salaries/pensions/benefits and this give m a few peso's for my own retirement which BTW isn't matched by my employer like the benefit these PUBLIC workers receive and received throughout the years..........This continues, those on the outside will always work 60 hours a week while the others do 60 hours a month..........

We can't change politicians until we change who works for the politican and alongside them.
