tamlee2004:  To risk $10 more dollars to guarantee you a $700 profit was a big mistake and you received some bad advice not to hedge.  $10 to maybe win $722 or $20 to win either $700 or $722 was a no brainer.

Lol what you just said makes no sense...his original bet was $10 to win $700...to hedge he would have cut his potential profit in half so most likely he would have had a guaranteed $350 payout instead of a possible $700...that's not including the reduced winnings after the cancelled game but we won't go there.

Regarding hedging....first of all parlays are for suckers. Second of all, why hedge unless something has made you change your mind on the wager (eg. injury) Hedging just because you are 1 game away is stupid and a long term losing proposition.

Si1ly, as always, thanks for the great work - although your chart is dead even on Was-NYM, I really believe Nats and Zimmerman will beat reeling Mets today and the very inconsistent Young.  Can you talk me out of this?

They might win today but it makes sense.  The Nationals are 11-8 in Zimmerman's starts despite how excellent he's been this season.  They clearly give him terrible run support.

@nepatriots_12 you just said parlays are for suckers, therefore if you are 1 game away from 700 and your only risking $10 why wouldnt you hedge?!?! It's insurance for a bet that is still only 50% to win... I would have at least bet $200 on the opposite side to garauntee some winnings you dont have to hedge it exactly in have to save some odds on the parlay but I usually always hedge but thats just me I usually stay conservative and dont like to touch RL's normally or more than 2 teamers
