Bettman wants the guaranteed $$$ from a Game 5 @ Phoenix. Vegas wants some of the $$$ back its lost on the Kings as Dogs. Vancouver can't be the only team to beat LA in the playoffs.

Brown for Hodgson...Was that the rumour? I didn't hear that one. Instead the Canucks got Zack Kassian. Meh, with all due respect to Kassian, I think Brown would have looked better in a Canucks uniform.

You don't know that. Easy to say now having watched the playoffs. That was a different time and they were shopping him. Hodgson would've looked like a younger version at that time. It is true that trading to Van would not have been likely but it seems to me, at the time, Gillis was the one who held back.

LA was just hoping to make the playoffs at the deadline. What has transpired since is surprising to everyone, even them, Darryl Sutter is one sly fox. I remember the talking heads here in TO slamming the hire as a desperation move in the wrong direction.
