#127 Posted: 8/23/2012 1:01:52 PM Bumping this so everyone knows that it is easy money to simply blindly fade the Astros or the Disastros as they have been smartly named on the road every game, trust me, my +/- $ will be over $1,000 by the end of the season, this team is epicly terrible and is on pace to finish with the worst road record in MLB history, even with lines at -300, they aren't winning 33% of their road games (under 20% not even close) so until the lines reach -450, -500 territory there is plenty of money to be made... trust me guys start this now and thank the Astros later. |

16-3 (+$653.90)
Astros started with a bang and then the Disastros we all know and love showed up in the bottom of the 4th and by the end it was 13-5... just a drubbing. This team continually finds ways to lose games even when spotted 4 runs due to 2 costly Cardinal errors. Next on the road fade list is the Mutts. This will probably be a series where the Disastros win one, and honestly maybe even two games as they are hitting better then the Mets right now, and that is hard to do. Mets have the starting pitching advantage but it's a toss up between two of the worst bullpens in the league. If I wasn't on this system believe it or not they'd be no plays for me because the Mets are that bad right now. Maybe they will be fired up after getting swept in 4 games by the Rocks but I doubt it, they might be more fired up by the thought of losing a series to one of the worst baseball teams in the last 20 years which I sure as hell would be if I was a Metropolitan. Anyways, will post tomorrow when the lines come out. BOL on the late slate. |

#130 Posted: 8/23/2012 8:01:22 PM Just started reading this today. Read the whole thing. Laughed the entire time. Awesome stuff. I'm gonna join you and give this a whirl.
Side not - I'm a UK grad...good luck with Billy. He was a disastrous hire for us, like mixing oil and vinegar. Although I think he'll work for y'all, he just couldn't recruit or teach McD type talent which is a recipe for disaster here in the fish bowl that is Kentucky basketball. |

Ya he wasn't prepared for the marquee coaching position in college basketball by coaching at UTEP and A&M, two schools where basketball isn't close to a top priority. He came to Kentucky and was expected to produce winners immediately and he just couldn't handle the pressure. He luckily gets to play second fiddle to our football program and our AD Kirby Hocutt is giving him all the time he needs to turn our program back into a winner. He completely gutted our roster after last season and now that he has his recruits coming in (he's a good recruiter in Texas) I expect us to at least make the NIT by 2013-2014 season. Love the guy and love that he's from Texas and will probably end his career in Lubbock because he is grateful we took a chance on him after his issues at Kaintuck. BOL on the road fade man the Disastros have treated me very well so far and I don't anticipate it stopping. I might add that I am as unsure of this Mets series as I've been about any of the 19 road fades (even more unsure than the Volstad game in Chicago) and might possibly start your fade after the Mets series because the Mets are utterly awful right now! BOL whatever you choose long run this will be highly profitable for you and looking forward to what Calipari does with an entirely new roster for your Cats they won me some great units during the tourney this past March! |

#134 Posted: 8/23/2012 8:20:12 PM Next year when they join the AL will be absolutely horrifying for Houston fans if they still have any... maybe I will continue this fade into next season, as all the DH does it give one more batter a chance to crush this awful pitching staff. |

#136 Posted: 8/24/2012 5:13:09 PM Alright, probably going to catch some flack for playing such an awful team in the Mets at outrageous juice, but I'm staying true to my goal of playing this baby out, so before I get all of the and and and realize there is no team I won't play at home vs. the Disastros until the season ends. As bad as the Mets are, the Disastros are by far worse, as in worst team of possibly my life (26 years) worst. That said...
Tonight's play
Mets v. Disastros Niese (-225) v. Lyles
BOL to all tonight! |

Mets blow. Astros might sweep and I never thought I'd say that. Tough loss because I had a bad bad feeling about this but am committed to playing this out and I think this is the last series of the year on the road where the Disastros have a chance to win the series because the Mets offense is abysmal, just atrocious! Anyways on to the next one tomorrow, haven't checked the lines yet but will post before game time tomorrow. BOL on the late slate fellas. |

#140 Posted: 8/25/2012 1:02:20 PM The question today is not if the Disastros can hit RA, but whether the Mets can score more than a run off of Fernando Abad and the bunch of mopes in the bullpen. Believe it or not I think Abad throws a perfect game lol. Just kidding, but I think the Mets struggle to score again and if I wasn't doing this road fade it'd be a no play for me.
Today's Game

Well still down $67 and some change for the series but at least I got back on the winning track today. Maybe the Mets carry this tiny shred of momentum into tomorrow and take the series in this battle of big mopes. BOL on the late slate fellas, a small win is better than no win any day, and for today, the Disastros are who we thought they were. Be pack tomorrow to post before game time per usual!

#149 Posted: 8/26/2012 3:37:46 PM BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
Ike Davis 2 Disastros 1
friggin sick win, I will gladly take it considering I was facing the jaws of defeat due to Kelly Shoppach's awful throw to second, but Lucas Duda and Shoppach saved his mistake and in turn saved the ball game for Ike Davis to deliver an oh so clutch jack with 1 out and no one on in the bottom of the 9th for a sick walk off win.
Updated Record:
18-4 (+$658.70)
Gained a sweet $5 in this series, which I will gladly take since I think this was the Disastros best opportunity to win a series from here on out! Mets were playing possibly worse baseball than the horrid Stros and yet were able to win the battle of the bads 2-1, and net me $5, which as I mentioned earlier am stoked about!
BOL on the late slate fellas, and for today, THEY ARE WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE! |

#150 Posted: 8/29/2012 8:02:42 PM Bored before game time tonight and don't want to lose this thread and my credibility on the posted plays when the Disastros go back on the road so doing a little preview of their remaining road games.
They go to PNC for 3 against the Pirates Sep. 3-5 (be generous say they win 1) Then 3 in Cincinnati (sweep) 7 game home stand Then 3 at St. Louis (another sweep) 6 game home stand Finish with 3 at Wrigley (say they take 1)
They would finish with the worst road winning percentage in MLB history.
Who knows what the Cubs will be playing for, but Cincy, Pitt, and St. Louie will be playing balls to the wall chasing the division crown and wild card spots, and they will view these games as must sweep. Houston is supposedly shutting down Harrell for the season due to high innings pitched. Should be fun |
