Olajuwon won with a great "team"...but he was the ONLY star on the team and thats why the Dream is such a GREAT player and his accomplishments are arguably second to none. The Dream made his role players good. This is why LeBron gets so much flack...his team is just as good or better than those Houston teams. If Lebron wins 1 or 2 rings with that Cavs team he goes down without a doubt as a top 10 player. He would of been the only great (sans the Dream) to win a ring without another star player.

#102 Posted: 6/10/2011 1:48:02 PM OP just because a player makes a fan appointed All-Star team does NOT make them a star player LET ALONE a Great player. I think this is where you are blinded. Now if you go back and look at the teams that have won and pick those who have made All NBA or ALL NBA defensive team then I will listen.
But miss me with the All-Star talk. There have been a ton of players that have made an All-Star game and where not worth the jersey on their backs. Olajuwon was a 1st team All NBA and All Defense the 93-94 season. No one else on his team garnered ANY league appointed recognition that year. No 6th man of the year, no All Defense, no All Rookie, no Nada! In the 94-95 season the Dream and Drexler were 3rd team All NBA in 94-95. But the Dream already proved in '93 that he could win without a great secondary player.

#103 Posted: 6/13/2011 1:03:56 AM did anybody just hear the final seconds of sportcenter??????????????????
haha, it makes this thread a classic and gridironguy look even more like a jackass when referring to this thread...
--dallas mavs were the first team who had 1 allstar to defeat a team with 3or more allstars in a NBA finals since the 1994 Houston Rockets (Hakeem)
read his post in this thread about how many stars Hakeem had by his side in 94', dumbass, Hakeem was the star not the rest of his team

I could only find 3 of your million mav hate threads fucktard. Anyway, bumpity mcbump. Aint no fun when the rabbit's got the gun.
Might help to narrow it down to 5-10 threads per series next time. Maybe less of us would silently hate/fade you...

majority of the mavs fans back their thoughts up with real facts and what facts make an argument right unlike many frontrunner heat fans.
^^i mean your post sounds like you are just whining because your team lost, and prob lost money, quit crying and post something someone might give a garbage about idiot.

None of my post was directed to you in any way. It was strictly for the OP. I thought I made that clear.
I'm curious if you even read it though. How in the darn did you get that I was a Heat backer that lost and is now crying out of that???

#111 Posted: 6/13/2011 3:34:33 AM This is not a pro or against LeBron, but lets bottom line this. Anyone who says that any of the mentioned players, other than MJ, could have 1 a title w the Cleveland team Lebron had, is wacko!!!!!!!!!!!

#112 Posted: 6/13/2011 8:34:46 AM Can someone like gridiron gang be banned permanently from covers, citing gross incompetence for the action?
I encourge everyone here to read all posts from gridiron, and maybe we can start a petition to have him banned? |
