#1 Posted: 3/8/2012 10:22:37 AM I'm going down next weekend with about 10k-12k cash. My debit card limits me to $800 a day. Regardless, where do I keep my money when I go out at night? I don't wanna be walking around with 10k in my pocket. I'm staying at harrahs. Do I trust the room safe?
Thanks

#2 Posted: 3/8/2012 12:05:03 PM I've never had a problem with room safes. If you're playing mostly at Harrah's, you could just deposit with the cage. Otherwise I'd suggest going to your local credit union and buying travelers checks. Mine charges .50 per $100, which is worth it for peace of mind. |

#6 Posted: 3/13/2012 4:03:28 PM I semi regularly go to Vegas with fellow Covers member Frank The Tank. He uses the safes behind the front desk to keep his bank roll. I think he does it more to get the juices following of the front desk hottie more then the safety of his money. Makes him look like a player. |

#9 Posted: 3/16/2012 12:00:31 AM BigChris,
Looking up the banks can be difficult and they provide no information. I had the exact problem when I first came to visit and I needed to find my bank.
A Wells Fargo is on East Flamingo Road (Bally's las vegas casino street), pass Swenson Rd, and it's going to be on your left a mile or two down.

#10 Posted: 5/16/2012 10:32:09 PM I stayed at LUXOR a few years back, and believe it or not, they did not have safes in the room. I was baffled. |
