Ganda just took it on the offensive strength of Bayern and the fact that M'gladbach is gonna have to play ball if they want to keep their home record. Nobody should tail Ganda, Ganda doesn't even like half of Ganda's plays.... |

#12 Posted: 1/20/2012 2:00:57 PM duke it's just a guess, like Lucky said, its too early after the holidays to get a real feel for this. Its plus money, although my inclinations tell me a close fought 1-1 match....lets hope for one side or the other to nick a game winner
aj I believe barb is also on it (and cowboys) cowboys our cards are very similar
colts dinnertime my friend. Im cleaning the house today for guests we have spending the weekend. I'll be making an omelette with sauteed onions and mushrooms in olive oil, add in a louisiana hot link from Costco (spicy), chopped green bell pepper, a couple eggs and topp it with an avocado. I havent had anything yet today and its already 11am. If you say the size of me, you would know I need food like a grizzly bear mauling a salmon right about now.
jsab the fact that we have to make a pick every day int eh CPL has forced me to look at the middle east match ups, which I wouldnt have normally done. Its all luck!
mikey to you too! G4P I like your card
Malachi you have made some pretty sharp (or contrarian) picks lately. Continued success. I took a couple days off from posting when there wasnt much to bet on, and I didnt want to just slap up some picks where I really dont have a feel for it. Ive been extremely busy at work and with the kids' basketball little league. I know much the north east is in the snow at the moment, but Im looking forward to the hot tub and some beers tomorrow night!

On another note I noticed in Billys thread that you gave up Diet Mt Dew. Do you notice a difference? I have been drinking 3-4 cans of diet mt dew everyday for about 5 years now. Was just wondering how your body reacted and if you noticed a difference? Thanks |

#17 Posted: 1/20/2012 2:10:25 PM Thanks bake... I sure wouldn't say they are sharp in any way but I'm definitely trying make better assessments of line moves based on perception against line moves based on realities of a matchup. I think for the most part trying to be "sharp" or contrarian is futile but I do believe that to be successful a certain amount of ones bets MUST be contrarian by nature
Real monetary success in sports betting is still eluding me but that can only last so long, right? Haha |

Coach, I was drinking 8-10 a day (dont really drink regular soda unless Im mixing drinks. I love the taste of it, and would go many days without drinking ANY water. I used it for the caffeine, as I dont drink coffee at work, and my hours are crazy.
When i weaned myself off it, I went down to 4 or 5, then the next day 3 or 4, and the a couple then none. I dont get headaches from lack of caffeine, it was cutting the food out of my day that was full of flour and sugar (ice cream, cereals, pizza, etc...)
I've noticed more alertness, an even mood throughout the day (instead of the highs and lows that come with sugary snacks and the caffinated sodas. Also without the carbonation, my apettite decreased, and my joints felt better.
I will have one occasionally because Im not trying to go crazy being too strict, but I dont have the psychological dependence on it. As much as I hate it, I'll pretty much drink water throughout the day (usually with some lemon crystal lite mixed in.
Im always thinking about the horro stories people tell me about the effects of the sodium and the carbonation on the body.
So to summarize, more money in my pocket, better feeling joints, controllable apettite, and no heartburn.
