Mississippi State wins this game!

Totally agree with you comments about Mullen 29.  It's starting to look more and more like Mullen made Urban Meyer rather than the other way around.  In fact my crackhead prediction for this season is that Mississippi State finishes 2nd in the SEC West behind Bama.

You guys that don't think Auburn has a chance of posting 250 rushing yards on State are absolutely nuts. Y'all do realize that they put up 400 yards rushing against the Dawgs last year despite having a quarterback that could not run in Chris Todd. And now they have Cam Newton at qb who rushed over 170 yards in his debut last week and accounted for 5 touchdowns both passing and rushing on his way to earning SEC player of the week honors. Yes, Auburn lost Ben Tate to the NFL, but his replacements are 4star Mario Fannin, 4star Onterio McCalleb, and 5star & ESPN's #1 ranked rb last year Michael Dyer. The least of Auburn's worries is running the ball on State.

For the record, Auburn's offense put up almost 600 yards against State last year to only 297 total yards by the Dawgs.

I personally see a lot of the same things happening in this game than what happened last year. Auburn beat State 49-24 last season, so let's give State another 10 points for home field advantage this season and hell, take away a touchdown from Auburn even though their offense is better in Gus Malzahn's 2nd season in command and you still have a score of AU 42 Miss St 34. Auburn covers with ease, but State will keep it close the first half.

*Disclaimer: According the box score from last year's game, AU had 390 yards rushing against State.

This game is super fishy, the auburn line opens up at 3.5.  Now its only 1.5 with consensus favoring AU at about 70%?  That line movement is right, but a 2 point drop is huge.  Bowl games hardly ever move 2 points and they got tremendous money layed.  IMO vegas doesn't know how to cap this game.  I think its gonna be a coin flip.  "TEAM WITH LESS TURNOVER WINS THE GAME" - IMO

Seems like all the stats are saying to pick the over, but in my mind the under is a good play here. SEC opener for these teams and a big game on Thursday night with a national audience on ESPN. Both teams lost their starting running backs from last year and I know Miss St. has a new QB. That to me, screams inexperience. I'm guessing both teams come out conservative tomorrow, not wanting to risk an early turnover. I honestly don't see these teams putting up 56 points, even with the new coaching and/or new players. The play for me is going to be UNDER 56. GOOD LUCK

Wow what a game....just a few notes....

I feel that Auburn's D line controlled the line of scrimmage for most of the game and was the difference.  Neither team was really able to push the ball downfield, but State was pitiful...

Relf short hopped at least 5 balls to wide open receivers....

State's "passing" QB ( Russell) never looked comfortable, as he was getting molly whopped...

If Auburn loses Ziemba (LT that never came back) for an extended period of time, they could be in trouble...

Cowbells could be the most annoying thing in college football.

that is all....
