#4 Posted: 4/19/2012 4:03:23 PM Bill Snyder 5th in the big 12. Are you f-ing kidding. He did two rebuilding jobs at that school where it ain't easy to win. This list loses any cred on that alone. |

Me and you could win at LSU. Goodness. Schools like LSU a friggin chimp could win at.
I were ranking the top 120 coaches. He would be somewhere between 100 - 120.

Miles is 75-18 at LSU, with 2 BCS NC appearances ( 1 victory ). He's 103-39 overall with 2 wins over heavily favored Oklahoma during his early tenure at Oklahoma State. He also pulls in great recruiting class and has his LSU team in the hunt for the NT every year in the hard division in CFB. I'm not saying he's top 3 but 20th is very disrespectful imo.

#15 Posted: 4/20/2012 8:47:34 AM In my opinion Frank Beamer at #4 is completely laughable. He always comes up short in big games, and a real top 5 coach would never lose to James Madison at home. I can't understand why the Hokies begin every season ranked higher than they deserve.
Urban Meyer had to leave the SEC because he could no longer be competetive against Nick Saban. There is no way that he should be #2. And as far as Lane Kiffin is concerned, I don't even need to waste my time trying to build a case against him as anyone that objectively follows college football already knows that he is a joke.

#16 Posted: 4/20/2012 9:53:12 AM Think Mullen is in a good spot... maybe a little bit higher... Most don't realize the dumpster fire he inherited... guys it was really bad... but he's done a phenominal job since he's been at MSU...
I would rank Chris Peterson higher... Really like this guy as a HC... All he does is win... and he beats the big boys when he gets the chance...
Brady Hoake is too high IMHO... one good year at Mich is not good enought to be top 10...
Bill Snyder definitely deserves to be in the Top 10... He built K-State and they fell off the map when he left... He is one of the best coaches in the country at doing more with less... Love what this guy does |

VT is not Oklahoma or Alabama. I can see your point but Beamer has been sucessful for a long time. Both he & Meyer might be a bit high.......but Meyer has proven himself everywhere he's been. |

I had my doubts about Kiffin the first season, but not now.
To be considered a great coach, you have to win. In order to win, you must be a good recruiter. Kiffin surprised everyone with how well he recruited, except USC fans.
Kiffin won at Eugene last year. It wasn't luck.
USC is going to end up in the top 3 at the end of this year. Who would have thunk it? After all the NCAA bull, that's amazing.
I would like to know who you think are the 8 coaches in the Pac-12 who are better.
